I thought that in that particular video where Solas grabs your hand, it looks like there is some sort of egg/sphere inside the fade tear, which 'breaks' open aka explodes as the tear is shut.
About the theory about the romance & the mirror (I keep forgetting how to spell it)...
In DA:O two of my Wardens went with Morrigan in her DLC. One was an elf, one was a human and ... well we can't be sure what exactly Mor is. But I wonder if that would lift the 'elves only' theory for the mirror.
Thought I guess with the Darkspawn blood, if we go by the rumor that the Archdemon is an ancient fallen god and the darkspawn have it's blood, they might 'qualify' to support the theory after all @.@
And. I think I might have officially successfuly confused myself.

Also, an update from the twitters... Patrick then went on to call Solas a "guy who speaks half in verse." Not sure if he's being serious at all, but I really can't wait to hear Solas' dialogue (even more so than before). Here's hoping we get those PAX demos and panels on Youtube soon, at least!

I'm hoping that Solas is one of the Bioware characters that stands the test of time. That we will remember him as fondly in 10 or 15 years. I still adore Minsc (and Boo) and remember them as far back as the first BG (yup, let Viconia die every time

The eluvians don't admit only elves. Anyone who knows how to use them can go in. However... (I'm going to put this in spoiler tags for The Masked Empire just because everyone else seems to? Better safe than sorry.)

Right? It would certainty be a very believable factor. I can't speculate on what he might want with them (if indeed he wants anything with them at all) or what the point of it would be, but considering elves are the only ones that can take full advantage, well... it would make sense. And I'm all about elven lore, so I'm kind of hoping he'll take me into one and show me a "whole new world," hah.
And I would hope Morrigan's little disappearing act will be mentioned! I mean... I don't expect her to just up and tell the Inquisitor what her deal is, considering she wouldn't even tell my Warden (whom she called her sister)... But given that she's back and all, well, she's got some 'splaining to do!

This makes me crazy excited to meet him. I love all the ideas we've come up with so far but it'd be awesome if he surprises us and just blows our minds with how different/unexpected his character and personality are.
Also, I wonder if he's like Will Smith's character in I Am Legend, who has been alone so long he talks to mannequins. At first I thought he might view memories in the Fade and pretend to be a part of them, but actually, he might not need to make up imaginary friends for company because he could be buddy buddy with spirits in the Fade. He also encounters people on the roads and such so there goes my I Am Legend/Dragon Age connection. Talked myself in a circle, whoops >.<

Anyways, I had a go at creating my Rue Lavellan, although her hair will be above the shoulder, CC-willing (and hopefully we can have some kind of wavy or curly hair).
Oh, and I finally got my hands on a copy of The Masked Empire, so that I can finally keep up with all this talk of ancient elves and Felassan without spoiling the book!

The ICONOCLAST thing made me laaaaugh. Besides the Pinky and the Brain reference, Anders has a line in Awakening about "always being up for a spot of iconoclasm" and, well, he certainly was.

So do Elven artifacts give off some kind of aura that Solas can sense with his abilities? Or is Solas just an absolute boss at antiquing?
