Urgh. Update on my OCxSolas fic: Real life has been eating me alive. But I promise, if anyone's reading it still... It is being worked on. I'm early in chapter 6, or maybe late in Chapter 6 if I decide to make it a super short one. Depends which path I decide works best for the fic...

Where could Solas and Lavellan live together? Probably somewhere in the Crossroads. I doubt either of them are gonna be very popular in the end... Solas isn't a coward and he might stay to seek redemption, but he'd be wiser to go somewhere other than Thedas with Lavellan and start over. It would be better for both of them. They could live as normal people without the burden of expectations and legends placed upon them...

My ideal ending for them is to be together, Solas redeemed and changes his mind, learns to accept the past and maybe find another way. But that more destruction is not the way to go, people of modern Thedas are real and deserve their chance at life and happiness. Maybe it was a potential mistake, but what's done is done now.
(Unless, and I would not put it past them, the key to things like stopping the Blight for good mean the Veil has to come down - but in this type of scenario, take time to warn people, give them time, passage, safety. As much as possible).
They'd travel together, helping people, teaching people about what was, and helping them live better now. So that history continues to live on in oral and written tradition, maybe even teaching elves their own language again, but helping different kinds of people.
Love him or hate him, he's definitely the most talked about character on the BSN!

If they both manage to survive and aren't punished in all the horrible ways I see some people fantasize about, I can only see them in exile, self-imposed exile, or roaming the Fade together as spirits (having shed their forms). Babies-ever-after just doesn't seem like it would fit.

Solas just gives me feels, still. I thought I had put it into the background but I have two angsty Solavellan things to write. One is Solas POV, full of guilt and strangled hope. The other is Trespasser aftermath.

To be fair, I've heard the jawbone looks like a weird shoe thing if your graphics aren't turned up high enough.

Little anecdote-- when my mom first saw my Solas wolf jawbone necklace, she thought it was a little black shoe or sock.
