Apparently, there is some goose fanart on the Bioware Twitter page. I don't have Twitter so I can't go see.
I'm sure Hrungr will post it in the DA twitter thread if its on their twitter.

Time for the Blanket Fort to pay Bioware HQ a visit...

If this is for DA4, it could be they'll be playing up the Chessmaster aspect of Solas' character in the next game, which might be quite fun if well-executed
Oh, right, I sort of forgot - I've seen some articles connecting the tower and emblem imagery with a tactical game Darrah once asked about in Twitter, but I sort of don't buy it. At this point pretty much every dev is re-tweeting the video, and Darrah retweets cheesy Solas puns
(...which sort of makes me convinced that they chose "Solas" for him because it brings to mind so many things ;P)
But it makes me wonder... is it possible that they'd be going a route I sort of have reasons to believe they may take and make Solas and Inquisitor into tactical "chessmasters" who steer things from behind? Like, if perhaps the DA4 would be more "tactical" in terms of plot, with Solas and Inky making moves and crucial decisions through their agents/main agent - actively one-upping one another and unraveling their own plans?
Art post.
Saw this on Twitter. Solas with a goose on his head inspired by Bioware's goose cam. By xfreischutz. ![]()

A rather angsty-ish post-Trespasser Solavellan.
Lavellan and the Dread Wolf.
Hahah, did you see Darrah's new twitter look?
Rubbing it in much, Mr. Darrah!? Or milking the intrigue? Or both?

I wonder if the struggle between the Inquisitor and Solas will resemble the chess game between Solas and Iron Bull, but with the roles reversed - in the end it will be the Inquisitor's pawn (new protagonist) that will be the piece that enables the Inquisitor to win against Solas. I kinda like the idea, because then we would get to play as a new PC but the victory would ultimately belong to our Inquisitor.

As long as, when the chessmasters meet at some point, I get to control mine, then this would be awesome.

Maybe they'll meet in dreams.....And then once for real at the end of the game....
I finally started my Solavellan fic. Totally putting it here because I loves my Lavellan so I'm sharing her XD. http://archiveofouro...apters/15254209 It's on AO3 and called The Blood of Flowers.
Right now I only have the prologue up but first chapter will be added soon. Warning the prologue is pretty dark and contains an attempted rape. It starts at the attack on Clan Lavellan.

Hmm. Dream meetings would actually get around the whole "Inquisitor can't fight cus arm" thing. I don't know how they'd defend themselves against the Dread Wolf in the Fade (assuming they needed to), but they'd have to find a way, I suppose. I mean, its not like the Inquisitor can just never sleep.

Ohhhh this is running wild in my head right now. For low approval Inquisitor he could just be spying on them to find out their plans to counter or disrupt them. And for friendly Inquisitors he could be spying to find out their plans to disrupt them but then without doing too much damage to them or what have you. And then the Inquisitor somehow "awakens" in the dream because they've had a connection to the Fade or Solas himself because of the anchor or something like that. And maybe that'll become a recurring thing after major plot points.
As for a romanced Inquisitor, he'll be telling himself he's spying because he needs to know but he actually just can't stay away. And the Inquisitor at first thinks she's just dreaming of him and then "stuff" happens and she finds out that it's not entirely a dream and be all like:

Haha no, just kidding on the last part. ![]()

Hey, at least that last part, with the romanced Inquisitor, is actually canon. There's an epilogue slide to the effect of "He still visits her in dreams, but when she tries to reach him, he vanishes." Very melancholy, but still.
I think she was missing her arm in the picture of the dream, though. But real life amputees often dream having both arms still, so they can do both scenarios and I doubt anyone will care.

I knooooow...
I was just kidding about the picture. Not much, though.
But I'd like it if they built upon that epilogue slide. That he continues to do it throughout the game. And because I am a big sap, I call for added romance content during those scenes.
And yeah, I think they could possibly give the Inquisitor their arm back in dream scenes. I always imagined my Inquisitor to dream with both arms still attached anyway.

That's sort of the premise of the post-Traspasser fic I've been working on. Solas does, in one of your conversations, say that anyone can befriend spirits in the Fade (while dreaming) but few ever try. And the ancient Tevinters apparently learned magic from something whispering to them from the Fade. Since the Solas romance ending slide for Lavellans who want to redeem him says that he disappears whenever she reaches for him, I figured my (non-mage) Lavellan would put a few things together:
1) She can direct what happens in her dreams (lucid dreaming).
2) She can seek out spirits in her dreams... Solas gave her, wittingly or not, some tips and pointers on how to to attract (or not attract) attention in the Fade.
3) If the ancient Tevinters learned magic from powerful Fade spirits, maybe she can, too.
4) All elves once could practice magic/ had a connection to the Fade. It is blocked by the Veil, currently.
5) The Veil is described in a codex not as an actual physical barrier, but as a way of seeing/an act of transition... when you metaphorically 'open your eyes', you can see how the world actually works.
6) Some mad scientist notes near the end of WoT2 - experimenting with the ways animals perceive things suggests, maybe, that animals are not affected by the Veil.
7) Maybe she can get a Fade spirit to teach her magic, and somehow break down the Veil inside her own mind, and thus prove to Solas that The People are not truly lost.
Huh, I just realized that Solas to some extent has already started acting like he did in the chess game with Bull - I mean, he does use his pawns (spies) a lot and to crucial effect, and he did sacrifice his queen (Mythal?) to win... Perhaps there are more clues in that game yet to be uncovered... ![]()

As a gamer with a canon rogue Lavellan, I both like this and dislike this. I like it cus it'd provide Solas a way to fix things on an individual level. I dislike it cus I don't think my Lav should have to become a magic wielder to prove the point. I mean, more power to people who want that to happen for theirs, but I don't really want it to be a thing for mine. Immortality I'd be ok with. lol
