Hadn't they already been saying the game was pushed back till march? Or maybe that was just speculation based off some earnings report thing. Now I don't recall the origins of it. Nice to hear we'll get an update in June, regardless. :)

I wonder if this means DA4 will also be pushed back?

Wedding Day by nanananananablr. Solas and Lavellan getting married. (If only... :crying: )

A gorgeous fanart of the latest chapter of Message Sent. Solas finally meets Ellana. (Seen from Solas' perspective.)

Good night. Solas and Lavellan.

A lovely unfinished artwork of Solas.

Not Solas, but here's a cute art of Lavellan and Abelas.  ^_^

And modern AU Abelas. :P

I don't think it's about him keeping an eye on Inky to know what they're doing. After all it only happens to romanced Lavellans who didn't give up on him.

To be fair, just because the non-romanced Inquisitors don't have an ending slide about Solas watching them in their dreams doesn't mean he isn't.  Romanced Lavellan may be consciously or subconsciously looking for him and therefore sees him.  Other Inquisitors might not think that way and so they don't see him.  Or it could just be Lavellan dreaming about him.  Dreams and the Fade are tricky. *makes spooky noises*

For the most part, they're different teams.  Writers might move back and forth between them but I would only expect an announcement about DA4 to be pushed back because they're not likely to actually make an announcement about DA4 until after Andromeda is released.

Yes, there was a statement made by one of the EA execs about which games were coming out when and they said that MEA would be released in Q1 of 2017.

Edit to add:  Dang 3 posts in a row from me.  Can everyone tell I just got home from work where they block anything remotely associated with games?

How about a big frilly cake shaped like a fist with the words, "Damn you, Weekes!" .... or in the vein of Star Trek, just "WEEEEEKES!!!" and then a bottle of fan tears to wash it down with.

I think him visiting Lavellan in dreams is him torturing himself, and making sure that she's safe. He can't stay away but knows that getting close will mean the beginning of the end of his resolve. He believes she can stop him, and even wants her to, but he can't bring himself to give into that because he sees that as betraying himself and those he considers his People.

I think it's one part longing for what he is sure he can't have again (a relationship with Lavellan), and one part making sure she's still okay.  He may be spying on her, trying to be sure of her plans.  The reason he avoids getting close probably is to keep her from convincing him not to go through with those plans of his.

Note that no matter how horrible you are to Solas, he doesn't kill the Inquisitor.  He also tells a romanced Inquisitor that she has a rare and marvelous spirit.  I'm thinking, considering his willingness to kill friends who oppose him, that there is something about the Inquisitor in particular that he doesn't want to see destroyed.  Even the way he tells you that he's saving you "for now" might imply he plans to  try sparing the Inquisitor, at least, from what is to come--even though he probably expects you to die anyway.  And then whatever it is he sees about the Inquisitor that is so special will be forever lost.

We're time traveling back to the last day of March with these quotes:

If she's known as a healer, perhaps the 'healer has the bloodiest hands' can apply to her.

And about Ghilan'nain, I'm still wondering why Solas is carying her staff in his tarot card. And the mention of her grove being peaceful when it's basically a graveyard with a shrine to him in it.

Maybe he's like a rage demon. They're fiery, he's been symbolized with fiery things.

Well, I'm sure it's peaceful now.  After all, Ghilan'ain is gone...

Some Solavellan angst. :crying:

“Sir…..When the veil fell…did you regret it?”

                     …
                                              “…No.”

Solas and Lavellan. (Wow! That height difference! She's even shorter than my Lavellan. xD )

May the kings and queens of the dawn remember my name. As dark as the fallen star.

An angry-looking Fen'Harel.

Isn't there a codex entry in the Graves about how the statues are actually of the Knights' companions and haven't got anything to do with the Dread Wolf?

I mean, their presence is obviously because Fen'Harel is about to become a major plot point, but in-universe they're actually unrelated?

...That being said, the fact that the Dalish Kingdoms apparently revered wolves as protectors, despite them being a symbol of the Dread Wolf, is also pretty interesting. I'm still not convinced Solas was just sleeping all those years in Uthanera. I guess he wasn't doing anything physically, but he still could've been influencing the world from the Fade - maybe that's got something to do with it?

Yeah, I think there is but on the other hand - the confirmed Fen'Harel statue in the temple of Mythal that Morrigan comments on is the exact same design. Might be some connection? Maybe Fen'Harel originally was a guardian/companion (I think this has been discussed earlier). Maybe he or his legacy was the reason for the Emerald Knights forming?

'Let the gods sort them out' by kallielef:o

An artwork of Solas' daughter with Solas in his scary wolf form, based on the Viking legend

of the binding of Fenrir by Tyr using the dwarven chain, Gleipnir.

Lovely sketches of kallielef's Solavellan daughter and the artist's own Solavellan daughter.  ^_^

(Also with sketches of Lavellan in Solas in the pic.)

Solas and Lavellan resting under a tree with Solas lighting up the darkness.

A fierce-looking Dread Wolf with his prey (the Inquisitor shown as a bunny).  :o

And a nice sketch of Zevran. Oooh!

In another thread, there's been a discussion about what Solas's motives might have been to monologue what he's up to (sort of, since he says that WAS what he'd have done, but his plans have changed and we can't be sure he's even intending to bring down the Veil even though that appears to be what he wants...).

Some say it's because Solas wants to be stopped.

I'm thinking there's something else there.  Yes, he'd like us to stop him.  He also saves the Inquisitor no matter how much he detests said Inquisitor.

I think Solas is up to something considerably more crafty and manipulative than just setting you loose so you can stop him and oppose him.  He's making sure that you know what's coming so you can tell others.

Why would he do that?  Why would he do the classic villain monologue?

He's trying to minimize the casualties his plan is going to cause.

Doesn't make sense?  Bear with me... if you know about his plan, and others find out about his plan through you and your followers, people now know what he intends to do.  They know the effects he anticipates.  In other words, people can prepare, as much as it's possible to do so for something as catastrophic as Solas is planning.

This is his way of telling the villagers about his slow arrow,  If they don't listen now and take steps to protect themselves (stay indoors until the arrow comes down!), they're going to die.  But if they listen, their chances of survival will greatly improve.  It doesn't guarantee survival, but it might help.  And that is better than nothing.

I don't know why I thought of this, but it makes a lot of sense to me, at least.

If not for that, and possibly his hope that he will be stopped before he becomes a monster (it's arguable he already is, for killing Felassan and Flemeth), there would be no reason at all to tell you anything.  He could just say, "I saved your life, be grateful and watch for agents infiltrating your organization," and be on his merry way.  He has been secretive all along, so why suddenly tell you anything at all, if he didn't have a purpose for doing so?  He must know that for many, the explanation will only be painful.

And I was wondering what could have happened to the Titans ever since Descent, and the only conclusion I have so far is that they have been sundered from the Fade. There are hints (many of them Cole's remarks, obviously) that this is what was done to them and in fact in Descent we have large hints to know how - the codices on Gates of Segrummar tell us that there's an enormous sigil "written" just above the Titan that can only be visible from the Fade. It may be what keeps them pacified.

Midnight do you know where you read that about sigils being visible from the Fade? It's escaped my lore sleuthing. I'm still interested in the sigils and wasn't able to find out much more on them besides Kirkwall. I bet Tevinter will have a lot to say on them, considering Kirkwall's sigil was of Tevene origin.

Edit: I think I found what you were talking about in the codex on the Gates of Segrummar.

Interestingly, I don't think I noticed before but the person claimed it was able to be seen from the fade - they must not have been a dwarf. Either it's very old (like pre-veil old where there could be a chance that Dwarves were different and could see the fade) or it was an Elf/Human/Qunari or *something* that had access to the fade. And were in the Deep Roads of all places.

Sure, here it is: http://dragonage.wik...es_of_Segrummar

Specifically this part: "Terrible, to sacrifice one's own child with a lie. I preyed on perfectly trusting faith, but how could I explain my desperation? The Deep Roads wind in deceitful spirals, concealing the sigil from casual observance. I could not discern its true pattern until I stood in the Fade and gazed down upon the vast malevolent engraving. Its artist remains unknown, but its horrifying intent was all too clear - as was my necessity. I only wish it had not cost you, my only child. I could not build the locked barriers that would carve the marks and break the sigil. You alone could save us all, but only by destroying yourself. And I let you do it. Forgive me."

What is interesting is that someone indeed managed to break the sigil. I mean, the last note on the gates certainly implies that. Valta tells us that the Titan has stirred because of the Breach opening, but perhaps that particular Titan stirring (we don't hear of any other earthquakes anywhere else) was possible only because someone has either broke or weakened the sigil?
