Heroes of Dragon Age actually has 3 versions of Solas now. There's Solas, Apostate Solas, and Fen'harel.
I have all three.
If you're on iOS and you play, I made a guild (it has guilds now): Fen'harel's Agents. The level limit is high but if your level is lower I'll reduce it so you can apply, if you want.

I assume that it's a distorted version of Welsh name - Llewellyn (leader; lion-like; sometimes lightbringer?).
Buuuuut... there's also an obscure creature from Scottish myths called 'lavellan' xD

IMO I think it could be both - I mean, both actually fit in a way. "Llyewllyn" because Lavellan is a leader, and scottish lavellan because it's a rat-like creature (and Tevenes called elves 'rattus')

Yeah I figured, either that or someone decided to make it up but I thought that would be a waste of lore. It's a shame we don't get to learn more, yet at least. It would be interesting if it was a name from ancient times.

Not so much the mods but people who might pop in randomly. Our resident art gatherers (whom we love and cherish) have been reported for less. I think it's been awhile since that happened though, thank goodness.

Oh I know, I've witnessed the tragedies. But in the end it's the mods who make the call, right? But considering Iron Bull prances around with two exposed man nipples in everyone's face... I think if such a thing bothered anyone here on the forums, then those randoms and those mods would need a severe re-education (hello, qun). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It seems to have gotten worse over the years. As two years ago we had the DA Confessions thread and I enjoyed that thread very much. Lots of NSFW-ish stuff was posted there as well. Sadly, the thread was eventually closed because of it. Seems odd to me that they crack down on innocent banter like that. It was a very friendly thread. </3
I agree that it seems to have gotten worse. Sunny and I used to post NSFW art almost everyday and not get reported. About a year ago this thread was very active and full of silliness. People were posting all kinds of weird stuff and it was fine.
I may not have liked everything that's been posted but reporting someone for it seems so petty and mean spirited. Is it really that hard to just NOT click on the spoiler button? Is it really that hard to just scroll past whatever it is you don't like? I don't know, I just don't understand people sometimes.
I'm really sorry you guys have had so much trouble about it. =\

In irl terms I always linked Lavellan to the Scottish cryptid (I mean go figure that's not a surprise coming from me lol), in fact before we heard the in-game pronunciation of it I was 'saying' it in my head the Scottish-Gaelic way (it's not far off or anything though).
In-universe, Dalish clans are named from nobles from the Dales, the noble who founded the clan. So Lavellan was a noble of the Dales who founded a clan, likely with the help of several Emerald Knights, one of whom may have been called Istimaethoriel. [x]
If I were him I would come to her and say "Baby come with me. We could have a life together without war without fear without hate." I would dump everything to be with him with the people.I think him visiting Lavellan in dreams is him torturing himself, and making sure that she's safe. He can't stay away but knows that getting close will mean the beginning of the end of his resolve. He believes she can stop him, and even wants her to, but he can't bring himself to give into that because he sees that as betraying himself and those he considers his People.

Bull: Well if you ever do, I know a guy in the barracks who does them. Free bit of advice though, don't get them if you're shirtless and an Archer / close to Archers a lot. I had this friend in Par Vollen, he was drawing an arrow one day, it caught... and well, you can figure out the rest.

Bull: Nah, he was fine after a week or two. But the world... the world lost some great pecs that day.
Edit: Ah, I don't know if I want to find a top Solas that includes piercings if people are worried about NSFW strikes. Here, have a mental picture instead, such as Solas with a piercing he refers to as "The Dread Wolf". Where it's located I'll leave in your hands... you're welcome.
