All right... I'm going to ask this here since I can possibly get answers without everyone wanting to poleaxe me for asking it. I'm truly curious and want to try and understand something.
We were told everyone would have options, but they might not be fairly distributed, which is fine. Everyone has representation, which I am glad for and happy that BioWare provides. Many people are all over Dorian, Iron Bull, Sera, and so on and have stated they will be romancing them. Even with that, there is another option available, so there is choice.
Why is it then that people are upset that there are not strictly equal numbers in regards to the sexualities? If you have a choice, and already know which character you are romancing, what is upsetting about not having a third choice? Is it just that it doesn't exist at all? Is this really seen as a slight against a particular sexuality, even if people are otherwise happy with the options they have available? I'm happy enough to get to romance all the characters I want to, even if it means playing a straight male and a lesbian female as well as a female elf.
I really hope that made sense. I may not be asking the question I mean to ask in the right way. I just hope someone in this thread can offer insight without it turning into a meltdown.
With no opinion on the matter and just from glancing into the romance thread, feeling slighted/under represented seems to be a main concern. I'll leave it at that, romance debates and sexuality get passionate. I'm going to hide out in here.
