I was looking at survival horror stuff with my boyfriend and... WHAT HAPPENED???!???

I find myself with this odd fear of moving off of page 606...  ever again...

They did. To sum it up

 

Blackwall is the last LI and available to females of any race.

 

Cullen is only available to female elves and humans. He and Solas were added during the year of extra development time.

 

All the others were the core romances and aren't race-gated.

Yup...  Blackwall is female only romance, and Cullen is gated against dwarves and qunari.  Also Cullen and Solas were romances added due to the time extension.

Don't worry, this thread has been lovely so far... I haven't venture out of it, so I can't speak for OUT THERE, but if you stay in the Solas thread you should be fine

Hey guys. I think no one had acted on the suggestion to ask Weekes about the desert sweetie so I went ahead and did that with my public account. Not sure he'll understand it with the character limit and my trying to be very polite...

Oh wow. Wasn't expecting that at all. R.I.P Cullenmancing Qunari playthrough. ;_; Ah well, she'll probably fit with either Blackwall or Bull. Hoping Blackwall's romance isn't as tragic as I think it might be.

 

Also, re: "Limited in scope".

 

 

 

The fact that Solas's romance arc was added later makes me rather hopeful. My favourite romance ever (Garrus) wasn't given a romance arc until after all of his friendship stuff was written in the first ME game, and that turned out beautifully. Given that his whole romance word budget is also just focused on a single kind of inquisitor, I think he might actually have more romance content than some of the other options.

I have this image in my head of Lavellan sleeping in her bed in skyhold, having a bad fade related dream. Solas gently wipes her brow with his hand, and watches over her throughout the night. She wakes up finding him asleep in her chair, then drapes the blankets over him and cuddles up in his lap. Queue smile from Solas.

I'm such a sop. I know my inquisitor would carry a plushie solas everywhere if she could. Another image of her being distraught after it getting caught in dragon fire.
