Hey all, for those of you interested in following the new Twitter thread, it has been set up by Hrungr and SofaJockey in Cyonan's New BSN.
They've decided to separate the Twitter thread in two; one just for tweets, one just for tweet discussion:

I've been enjoying RDF so far, it's really relaxed and friendly and there are Mass Effect boards as well. And they have weekly quizzes wee! I'm still sad about the BSN but the RDF has helped me feel a bit better.
I'm also eager to see where the Twitter thread ends up, so I'm watching fextralife and Cyonan's BSN as well.
If Hrungr picks one place to go... I'm going there (in my individual capacity, not blanketfort dictating) and sitting at his feet
Yeah, a new twitter thread will have me signing up wherever it goes... I'll need it for the ME:A hype train, really, the twitter thread was the best place for getting hyped here.
Same! I will sit at the feet of Hrungr and pay tribute to the all-seeing Eye of Cone. There is no better place to be pre-release than the Twitter Thread. Twitter Thread is love, Twitter Thread is life!
Figured I'd let you know that at the moment, Cyonan's BSN has Hrungr (I've also invited Elite Pinecone) and we have both Dragon Age and MEA Twitter threads established and ready to roll.

Haha, thank you! I, uh, found it highly ironic that I got permabanned at post 9,999 and BioWare resurrected me from the dead (after reviewing my case and finding the punishment far out of line for the infraction) in time for my comeback to be my 10,000th post. You really can't make this stuff up. LOL

Yes, it was imperative to us that the Twitter threads had a good, reliable place to go. Cyonan is very well-known in the ME3MP forum for being level-headed, reliable, dedicated to the community and the long haul, and a prodigious dataminer (we learned much of future MP DLCs from him going through update files), so his was the best of the half dozen+ options so far. I felt confident enough that I'm actually the Global Moderator/Community Manager over there now, so that is where I'm putting all my post-BioWare forum cards.

Believe me, I couldn't be happier. If my ending was a permaban from a place I've been so long dedicated to... on the first day of the announced closing... I was gonna be beyond heartbroken.

AND TO ALL: I heard about the forums closing and wanted to stop lurking/actually post to say thank you to everyone in the Blanketfort for being amazing and awesome and it was all really fantastic reading theories and discussing characters. Thank you for putting up with my arts and encouraging me to get a Tumblr as well. Thank you for being a supportive community of folks who help one another.

I don't either. As someone who doesn't do 'social media' so much, I find this move a bit distressing. (No twitter or facebook for me ever, thanks) These forums saved me an awful lot of time when I needed to look up something regarding one of the games, and this thread and a few others have been very entertaining to read/stalk. Some of the new forum options that are popping up seem nice though, hopefully the trolls that liked to rain negativity down on everyone will get lost in the move.

Blanketfort Update
So, there's been a development. Some of you already know from discussing it in Discord, and it's already been brought up in the thread. There's another replacement forum/potential Blanketfort home, BSN.boards.net.
I'm not trying to confuse or mess with people or go back on previous decisions - lots of things are fast-paced, in flux and up in the air at the moment. Also not trying to uproot anyone who has already been settling in elsewhere, just doing my best with new information that becomes available as it becomes available. I know RDF is the thread's current consensus. BSN.boards didn't exist at the time of that discussion.
Bringing it to light as a suggestion as it's my current top preference for a replacement BSN. These are things I personally (as an individual, not Blanketfort OP) want from a BSN replacement, as in what would make a place my ideal:
BSN.boards meets these criteria. It's actually the only places that does. That said, I've checked it out, been watching it, and totally approve. It seems to be the leading choice in the community too (that's my interpretation of things though of course). Some BioWare employees have joined it. As mentioned, prominent community figures and threads such as Hrungr and the Twitter threads seem to have relocated there. Hrungr received a number of PMs recommending the place. I've read and heard only good things about the site's creator - glowing praise from multiple reliable sources actually, and not a single red flag. At the time of writing it has 258 members and 1052 posts. They also invited us there specifically, having made subforums to allow discussion of characters and romance in the DA:I and ME:A subsections. As well I think it represents a chance for a true "Blanketfort 2" experience in full - the Blanketfort nested like it currently is within the wider BSN community. I dunno, it's important to me that the fracturing and scattering of the wider BSN community is as minimal as possible, and to preserve some semblance of things as they are.
That said, I've no interest in overriding a decision, or dictating, and the preference of the thread as a whole is important to me. And the same obvious caveat as last time applies, that obviously nothing precludes people from signing up and making use of multiple places.
So let me know your thoughts/feedback in-thread if you want, and do me the favor of casting a vote at a new poll here.

@anyone with issues with bright/white/light themes on bsn.boards, "Right now I've just set up a new one that uses a darker theme with greys and blues for people who prefer a darker colour scheme. You can switch to it in the settings tab when you're editing your profile."

- which isn't run by someone people keep mentioning red flags for;
- where I can make a new Solas thread, if the threadusers wanted to go there (in the interest of keeping our subcommunity together and running);
- where a lot of BSN's good people go, so it's a similar community to before

Ugh! I hate creating even more accounts on different forums ... only because they keep making me add my birthdate and I hate having to scroll down so far for my birth year. It reminds me how old I am. And that I have a birthday this week. UGH!

Extra conversation with Solas that did not make it into the game. I love all of them, I wish they were in the actual game.
I do wonder why they cut some of them out. I understand cutting quest related content if they're removing the quest; I know there's a quest after you recruit the Templars they removed. But some of those cut lines were pretty relevant to current in game events.
