Well, it was a good run, and you all proved my assessment wrong of your relentless love for Solas never thought this thread could stay active for so long. Will miss you guys, if any of the original posters still lurk around here. Did notice Capricorn and night symphony.

Someone on the forum closure thread had a good point... don't use the same username/password on any of the new forums that you use for this one. Security risk and all, for what it will be worth after a few weeks.

Just got the link from someone and saw the posts here on it, we live on!

Great seeing you guys around still, love this place. This thread really changed my attitude on the forums, all the negativity from the rest of the forums just gets sucked out when you spend time here. It's like... What happened to Dabura in Dragon Ball Z, lol.

And then it hit me: I'll wander off on my own journey only to come back in two years when DA4 is announced and the idea of catching up with 6000+ posts made me break out in a cold sweat.

 

I'm really going to miss all the theory crafting.

Someone is trying to manually but Solas spoke to Conal privately and he advised that he would talk to the team about trying to help with the archiving since the Wiki references dev posts regarding lore.  So hopefully that just let it be archived.  Or at least assist in tools that allow it to be moved off-site.  

 

There was a lot of good theorycrafting here. It would be a shame to see it go.

This is going to sound really stupid...

 

But I have this silly idea somewhere deep in my mind that at the last moment they'll announce they aren't destroying all we've come to know and love (and sometimes hate), and that the forums are just being re-made. So, like, if I don't sign up anywhere else, I'm good. It will be okay.

 

I'm in really horrible denial at the moment.

 

But I'm still having fun lurking over on the new thread. Kind of feels like when we moved from the first Solas thread to this one. Good times.

Just wanted to let you know that ilu, Solas thread. I remember posting approximately one million Disney songs during the lead-up to DA4, daydreaming about the sleepy pajama boyfriend and trying to make my tongue do a Welsh accent (that, uh, didn't work out). Solas didn't get much love back then - I distinctly remember comparisons to Nosferatu and Nicolas Cage - but y'all kept the faith.

THIS SONG MADE ME CRY! Wth?  I'd never heard it before, I assume it's a Dalish Warden who romanced Alistair and did the US? Daaaamn.  I always romance Alibear, but I never US..

There's an explanation under the video in the show more detail?

It made me laugh but also sadness. She hadn't spoiled anything for herself; so unhardened Alistair became king, broke up with her... then she didn't "think my ex would go for the Dark Ritual. So I sacrificed myself to kill the archdemon."

If they do remake it yet again, it'll likely be in Bethesda's style where they ditch the thread sections that were too much trouble for them. Last time I was there, there wasn't even a section for Elderscrolls, just their stupid card game.

 

Just checked, yea it's still like that. Some fans are saying they did that because they got tired of dealing with their elderscrolls fanbase...

Maybe DA4's hero will see that protecting such beautiful love is important and spare Solas.

Not going to lie, was about 20+ pages behind and came in on the announcement part and was actually saddened. I'm not a social media person (I am a lazy, lazy little monkey ) but have lurked with the best of 'em in regards to this thread. The artwork, theory crafting, and just general discussions were great. Basically this thread was the perfect spot for me to lurk. Cuz I lurk, I'm a lurker. It even did something I never expected, this thread gave me a drive to write again. Something I haven't done in over a decade. So kudos guys and wherever the resident art posters (Night and Sunny ) go, well I'll be sure to follow. <---(wow that sentence sounds absolutely terrible rereading that )
