I'm having an easier time dreaming up an Inquisitor for Solas than Cullen. I supposedly don't like Solas. I wonder if my subconcious is trying to tell me something.
I made a Templar human girl for our lil Chantry boy, someone who starts out kind of zealous because of their families close ties to the Templars and the Chantry but through the game slowly opens her eyes and becomes more neutral. She and Cullen go through a crisis of faith together as they learn that maybe their order isn't the best and needs to be changed into something better. u7u
She gonna rock that gorgeous silver armor that the lady inquisitor wore at Gamescom.
I'm still hoping for hugs...
Those too! I don't know if Solas would be the type to do friend hugs, though, now that I think about it.
Guys, this is a little bit off topic but I've just realized something about the LIs:
- I'm not usually a fan of bald guys: I love Solas.
- I'm not usually a fan of the knight guy or blondes: I love Cullen.
- I'm not a fan of mustaches at all: I love Dorian.
- I'm not usually a fan of hugely muscular guys: Iron Bull looks awesome.
- I'm not a fan of beards: Blackwall looks great.
Hehe. Thanks DAI for expanding my horizons ![]()
That didn't happen with the women, though. They're up my usual alley.

"Dreaming", eh? ![]()
When I first looked at this, I thought the colour was fading because it was going to turn out to be a dream one of these lovely elves were having, either Solas or Inquisitor, but then I realized it was someone's art process and there was no conclusion to the story in my head. Do you think Solas ever dreams in earnest? Or is he always awake somewhere?-art snip-

That would be a cool story about the art process. I think he dreams but i would think he has really vivid ones maybe even with premonitions that come true some times. I'd feel bad for him if he always awake somewhere, that would be tiring after a while i think

Yeah, if their brains work the way ours do, that would suck for him.
You know, I've never fully understood the whole situation around dreaming and the Fade, because dreams are a product of a biological process in RL humans and is, obviously, a self-contained function. If connecting to the Fade in dreams is the DA equivalent of REM sleep, then I'm not sure how dwarves aren't a bunch of stress zombies and/or dead (unless they dream like we do, but don't remember it).
Or they dream but dwarf dreams are more a playback of what actually happened rather than the surreal weirdness of human/elf dreams. Their brains process the events of the day, do what needs to be done chemically to keep the body functioning but if their sleeping minds touch the fade at all it's only barely and the connection isn't strong enough to attract the attention of Fade spirits.
What can I say? You're going through the same process I went through with Blackwall. I'm closer to Solas ideologically, but they both capture my imagination.I'm having an easier time dreaming up an Inquisitor for Solas than Cullen. I supposedly don't like Solas. That's a totally reasonable explanation...and even works with what we know of the Dwarven companions in the Fade (if their dreams are grounded in reality, then the Fade's surreality would throw them off).
Also, I think I might have accidentally named my Solasmancing warrior Spike. It was a joke at first (my boyfriend suggested it, probably because my cat, who is also named Spike, was headbutting his face when I asked), but I'm pretty sure it's gonna stick. As a nickname, at least. ![]()
*De-lurks* All that talk about Solas sleeping in the tent and the Inquisitor dragging him inside to a real bed...
Am I the only one who'd try to have their Dalish Inquisitor try to steal the tent? XD I can't quite remember if it was Merrill who said it, or if it was just my char in an RP (or both), but I do remember a Dalish elf claiming that human cities feel dead due to all the stone, and how uncomfortable they feel surrounded by stone instead of trees and plants. Could feel the same way about SkyHold until they get used to it/they start making it 'more Dalish-y'.
Solas: *Arrives back at his tent after a long day of fighting things. Finds Lavellan curled up inside, already asleep*...Inquisitor?
Lavellan: Mmph. *Turns over, determined not to move*
Solas: ...*sighs*

I actually feel like this in real life when I have to stay too long in a city. I need to be somewhere where trees and growing things at least match if not outweigh the amount of pavement. I love nature and outdoors, so the Dalish are pretty easy for me to play.
This might be one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long while, I had to post it in here.
*snip*
I LOL'ed at that...that was a good video. I love how she says with Cullen only Human females and Female elves can tickle this man's pickle. ![]()
Anyways if Solas camps outside my quizzy will have a problem with that and just drag him inside if she has to,or maybe just rub them ears to get him to do what she wants... how sensitive do you think those ears are? Hehe okay I'll stop. ![]()
Just waiting for a party or some simlar situation where Solas ether is forced to dress and looks amazeing and just walks in the same usual robes to spite Vivienne or something. Then again he might be wearing too much clothes. Seems like he might just stand in corner with Cole or something.
Solas camping in a lonely little courtyard he's claimed for his own... The Inquisitor has forbidden anyone else entering the area, so it's one of the few places in the castle that still looks abandoned and wild. Often in the evenings the Inquisitor would join Solas by his little campfire and talk under the stars. The quiet, the trees, and the brisk mountain air remind Lavellan of home...
*little squeak*
I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE
I've fallen into this charming trap, this thread seems to get all of my likes. I blame all of you and us for being good people.
i see my evil plan is working
So do you guys have a little list of playthroughs laid out yet? I think I'll go:
Female elf mage - Solas (of course)
Female qunari mage - Forever alone? Possibly with Josie or Sera if I click with them. I don't want to romance Bull with a qunari and not interested in Blackwall.
Either female elf/human - Cullen or male elf rogue - Dorian. If I ever get this far. I tend to get lazy after the first two playthroughs and this is apparently a massive game!
