Dunno, I'm starting to think that if he isn't a romance my Inquisitor will not go for anyone else. I still have to meet them in game, but... Damn. A drama-free mage, selfless, intelligent and open minded? Yes please.

Anyways, it'll be a bit weird if felame inquisitors don't have a pro-mages romance. I mean, Cullen is Cullen, IB is a qunari, and I doubt Sera gives a damn about mages, so... What's in there for us pro-mages?

I think if anything Solas is more likely to be like his namesake Mordin and do a noble sacrifice because he wants to make sure it is done right.   I must stop doing these analogies with ME3 - I've already pegged Cole as EDI.    Seriously, I think it far more likely that you will drive him off than he will turn out a traitor.   Apparently you can resolve the mage/Templar conflict pretty early on in the game.   So if you opt for supporting Templars and suggest putting him and other mages into a Circle, I think you can wave goodbye to our lovely free thinker.  Ditto doing anything bad to Cole.

Guys Solas is not Dalish since he has no vallaslin. He has met Dalish on his travels however. He grew up in a small village, not a city.

 

...I want to visit his village and see where he grew up.  Unless it burned to the ground or something, then let's avoid that smoldering pile of depression.

Or Solas could *be* the big bad for all we know.  Felassan was killed by someone or something else that could walk the Fade.  I really don't think so, but the thought returns once in a while.

 

I think my Inquisitor is going to have some nervous twitch from time to time with Cole and Solas around.

I really really like them , but when I roleplay mages one of my main rule is Never Trust The Fade.

I can't imagine Solas, Dorian or Cole will react well to you supporting the templars in re-establishing the circles.

 

But if there's some kind of grand sacrifice to be made, I feel like there's a good chance you'll be able to do it yourself or choose someone else to do it. I'd pick Blackwall because, I mean, dude's gonna die soon, anyway.

So I'm the type of person that likes to put music to everything. As it stands, Malukah's cover of Fear Not this Night is my Solas/PC anthem, because I can see my Dalish being super scared to enter the Fade, and Solas being like "It's cool babe, you got this." Anybody else got some music they think will fit him, or his possible romance?

So I've just been away and listened to an interview with Allen Leech on You Tube and his voice is amazing. Just the right amount of soft Irish brogue to make it really attractive.   In the interview he occasionally talks a bit quick like he's wanting to get out what he wants to say and then gives a little laugh and a smile and I'm thinking in my head how this would sound with Solas trying to explain something to you.   That was something I'd been worrying about, that the voice actor might not go with how I imagine Solas to be and worse, it might actually be annoying, but I think he'll be really good.
