It's tempting to order the deluxe addition just for the NotaHalla mount.

I am absolutely ordering the deluxe edition for the NotHalla. It will be mine. Sorry Solas, you'll have to walk. Or... ride double? We could do that. We could do that very well.
Riding double could work

Maybe we get a halla in the base game.

Hello my lovelies! I was on a small vacation and had to do some homework (ugh) but I have not forgotten you all!!
Anyway, on the topic of pre-orders, I plan on getting mine as soon as the money for it comes in (should be later in the week) but I'm still undecided on Standard versus Deluxe. I'm leaning towards the standard version and then getting a game guide seeing as the game is said to be so huge and complex. But I would not open it until the second playthrough, since I'd rather not spoil myself, plotwise.
Interesting: In Elven, Solas means pride but I see that in Scottish Gaelic, it means light. It could be nothing, but light is sometimes referred to as "a spiritual truth." Solas sees the spirits in the Fade for what they are. He doesn't assume the best nor the worst of them.
Maybe..there's a connection? As a wise man who seeks the truth in the world, as opposed to just pointing out the right and wrong, Solas could prove to be one of the most memorable characters in this game (and I'm counting on it!).
Haha! Look at me blab with such little to go on. Am I going stir crazy from the stop in new info? ![]()

I will probably buy the guide soon (birthday coming up) and me lol I will be doing the opposite I will look at everything in the guide.
I saw that few months back about his name meaning light...cute. ^^
I remember someone saying that we will remember Solas after playing the game...or something along those lines I can't remember who though.

I bought a PS4 and the Inquisitor's Edition to play this game. (I may even buy a new TV.)
That is the most I have ever spent on one game.
And I am oddly comfortable with that because I believe this game is going to be WORTH IT.

I wish had sprung for inquisitor edition when I had the chance. But I'm still going for the deluxe edition on ps4. I'm eager to see how your companions react/talk about your class and spec.

And, what if? A Vallaslin for Solas (source)
Spoiler
Interesting. Do you guys think Solas would agree to join a romanced Inquisitor back in her clan once it's all said and done re. demons and stuff, or would she have to leave the clan for good to live with him?

Hmmm good question....well I probably will have her leave with him. I'd feel that if she took Solas into the dalish clan it wouldn't be easy for the both of them, remember the backstory of the Dalish elf in Origins how his/her father was a Keeper and their mother was a hunter and everybody didn't approve of them being together?seems pretty strict in the dalish clan sooooo....yeah I'd rather have my Dalish female elf and Solas have some freedom and go where they want and live happily ever after. ![]()

In the next sequel our inquisitor will probably have suffered the same fate as the warden and Hawke: disappearing into legend, so I don't think we'll be able to live with the Dalish and Solas in the epilogue. But it would still be cute to have him meet them in the game and to introduce him as your SO.

The Inquisition doesn't feel temporary but if it's possible for Lavellen to go home my elf mage would. She'd ask Solas to come with her, promising that he would still be free to wander as he pleased but the choice would be his. She has a duty to the clan and it's where she wants to be.
I thought the problem with Mahariel's parents was that they were from different clans and the elders didn't approve of the match?

I'd actually love to see the look on the Keeper's face if my mage!Lavellan brought Iron Bull home. XD
They should make a movie like that titled "My Big Fat Dalish Wedding". Wait.
I think the clan would be relieved that Lavellan brought home Solas if they knew the other possibilities.

I have the feeling the Inquisition is not something you can just walk away from at the end either, but if there is that possibility, my Lavellan would definitely go back home to her clan. Or if her clan is destroyed, she would seek another one. I'm planning her to be fiercely loyal to the People, she wouldn't want to spend a day longer than absolutely necessary away from her culture.
It would make for all sorts of interesting complications for her romance with Solas, though. How does he even feel about the Dalish? Would he want to leave his life behind and join a clan? If he did agree to it, would he be interested in learning the old elven magic? Would he take vallaslin to mark himself as a true Dalish, or just chill in the background and take the occasional seth'lin thrown his way every now and then? And if he did take the writing, which deity would he choose? (Dirthamen? Mythal?) Could I bribe him to join with a fluffy halla? How would the clan react to Lavellan coming back with a thin blood anyway? At least it's an elf and not a dirty shem, I suppose. But would they welcome him or give him the cold shoulder? This gives me so many questions.
