Solas: In a small sense, yes. Although sometimes they change slightly even when I dream in the same place...

 

Sera: Do you have dreams of beautiful women then, from the old days of antiquity? Perhaps, grooming themselves and each other with ornate hair combs, or chatting and frolicking about in a lavishly decorated bathhouse?

 

Solas: Erm... sometimes I have visions of women from the past, but often or not they are older women who are not at all very appealing. Mostly I listen to old haggard magisters and officials arguing about whatever campaign they're launching on the town next door.

 

Sera: Oh... I see.

 

Cole: Are they at least fighting to end some years long struggle, a rebellion against the tyrannical regime from the opposing leader of the other town?...!

 

Solas: No. Most of their arguments are about trade routes and agriculture. Usually it's economic but sometimes it gets political. 

 

Seras and Cole: Oh...

 

Solas: Fights have started from one town stealing the other town's cattle. You would've never guessed how much they treasured their livestock!

Edit: Guys, I'm also weirded out by how much we got right in our speculation about his personality. Down to his damn accent (if he's really voiced by Allan Leech)! Either they took ideas from us or we're actually the best speculators ever. Maybe Mr. Schumacher knew exactly how right we were about some things and was cackling

Guys, reading the interview, the personality that i want to give to my inquisitor is the same of Solas... that is a good or bad?

I think it is ok, there will always be some differences, I'm sure. And I think that two-open minded, intelligent people should get along very well.   My inquisitor is going to be similar to him in many ways too, yet, other parts wil make her a totally different person. I'm already so happy, that she will find someone, who could answer so many of her questions (and she will have a lot of them).

I was reading about the meaning of the Death card and this caught my attention:

 

"Those heads, bones, feet and hands represented in the card express the bonds that tie the Person to the physical, astral and ethereal body; they are the bonds with the forms of thought created by our minds, the illusory attachments that link man to people, things, ideas, roles and functions, even to his own ego. In order to progress, these bonds must be broken and the remains must putrefy to make room for what must be born and to nourish it. Therefore the sickle of the Death has the task to cut the bonds, to free us from the images that we filled with our energies, from the ghosts of the mind: personality, social role, identity."

 

Solas values free thought, doesn't want to be seen as just an elf, doesn't see things in black and white, wants others to be more open-minded, etc.  Maybe he's the Death Card to the Inquisitor because he's thinks the Inquisitor needs to leave behind the constraints of elf vs human, mage vs templar, demons vs spirits and all that.
