Ugh, for the past three nights I have had dreams about various bald men, I blame this thread.

 

Doesn't the Inquisitor get chucked in prison by Cassandra at first?     I'm sure that exert of the VA said as much.     So may be that is when Solas turns up and suggests that Cassandra is making a big mistake.   Or alternatively he turns up to help and she chucks him into prison too.   There he meets the Inquisitor and sees the glowing hand and thinks "hello, I think we can do something with this."     So he convinces Cassandra to let them both out so he can demonstrate and she agrees, takes them to one of the rifts and the Inquisitor is standing there a bit stupid like, saying "what am I meant to do?"   At which point Solas says "Oh for goodness sake!" and grabs their hand.

 

The idea that Solas could have slept in a place where the Inquisitor had previously visited (perhaps for one of those big 10 year gatherings of the clans) and been attracted to her but never knew where to find her (not hard to imagine since she would be back in the Freemarches) and then fate brings them together seems impossibly romantic but rather lovely.   Then he could say "You are the girl of my dreams" and it would be true. 

 

Excuse me a moment, I'm gonna swoon and melt a little over here. 

 

Edit: Gah, I was too bust going gooey to even remember to post the rest of my reply. How would he go about the convincing d'ya reckon? Be polite and calm or go into some gentle rage? You know the cold and quiet sort of anger that suggests that you really want to be doing whatever it is the person is asking you to do right this minute.

Eh, you guys have probably already discussed this, but I'm not going to read all 659 pages to find out.  So anybody else get the feeling that it will be Solas that teaches the Inquisitor just what is up with their green glowy hand and how to seal the tears in the Veil with it?

 

 

Also, I like the idea of Solas have seen her in a memory before. I imagine elven inquisitors have explored plenty of ruins in their day.

 

You see, I have this thing where I have to do things in order so as not to feel left out or anything..... So..... Uh..... I actually read all 659 pages (though to be fair, at the time it was around 300 or so before I actually got involved with the conversation).

 

How many of us would repeat the tutorial just to listen to him talk?

Yes. Since we'd probably have to learn how very early that would mean Solas would appear early. I'm already pretty convinced that he will because of that one scene in the trailer, though those things could mean anything. Really, though, if he did a the rift tutorial and got it right he would probably give praise.

I love the "dream girl" scenario! Sooo romantic.

I also really like the Andraste/Shartan idea. But that doesn't explain why he's only interested in Lavellan. The dream girl idea makes sense. November can't get here quick enough, I need to know!

 

 

 

And the voice actors are good. The people who won the contest, I mean. They sound like they fit right in. I have to admit I giggled about the lines though. "I'M JUST LIKE YOU. Except the part where we're nothing alike.

"You're still alive! Wonderful!". Is it wrong that I find both scenarios a little adorable?

 

Speaking of, I wonder if they will have special dialogue for romanced companions if/when the Inquisitor gets K/O'd in battle. I wonder if Solas' would be some quiet sadness or a broken composure.

I hope so, I wonder what Solas would say too. I think he'd be somewhat calm on the surface but completely raging inside if we got k/o'd or he'd just snap and cast some crazy spell against whoever k/o'd us out. Maybe he'll throw a jar of bees at them lol

ETA: Hey, since we can revive downed party members now perhaps a LI just makes a beeline for the Inquisitor should they fall. Though that'd be kinda game break-ery.

At first I was solidly set on playing an elf Mage but now I'm considering being an archer instead... I'm so torn now between the two classes. QAQ which do you guys like better? I can't decide now! OTL
