This isn't Solas related so much,but is anyone else,besides me sick of seeing that helmet on the inquizzy? xD

On the contrary, I quite like it. Makes it possible for them to have an iconic character, and yet, they are able to change his gender/race all the time, between each trailer.

 

I'd rather have the helmet than another default male Shep.

I can see why you'd want it gone since it gives us a chance to see what a CC face looks like when moving and the like, but I think it's there to keep the marketing Inquisitor look androgynous. 

 

But I'm a bit biased because I really, really like that helmet

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  When I saw everyone giving you their condolences I thought I might add to the chorus.  It's always sad to hear about people important to others passing away.  In my own culture, we say that everyone goes to Wanagi Makoce, or the place of spirits.  It's a neutral place where everyone goes after they die, as the deeds we do in our lives hold no bearing over our spirits in the afterlife.  I like to think that Solas would feel something similar about the Beyond, which is where the Dalish believe the deceased go after death.  The Dalish say they are guided by Falon'Din across the Veil to the Beyond.  This resonates personally with me because it reminds me of the path the spirits of the deceased take along the Wanagi Tacanku, and how we - those who remain - can help people important to us reach Wanagi Makoce during our time of grieving.  I hope this helps you, even if it's just a little bit.  Just remember that a period of grieving is normal and entirely healthy.  If you ever need someone to talk to, I'd be more than happy to listen!

 

 

 

And just to add to the current discourse - naturally I want Solas to have a really beautiful theme.  I can imagine him with something earthen, maybe with a bit of guitar?  When I was putting together a companion playlist for DA:I I had the ZREO Faron Woods track as his song.  I just love that touch of calm and mystery it has!  It suits him well, imo.

In a rare turn of events, I was being serious (for once) about the flute and harp thing. Nothing says timeless, immutable knowledge like flutes and harps.

I've haven't been in here for a while.... Been really busy lately and I just caught up so..... Here comes a bit of a long post.

 

He better be shirtless then, to make up for it...

I'm not sure why he's not an option anymore. Only explanation I can think of is that they're still working on his final look maybe. Either way he should be next

I was going to go back to my homework but then I found out someone, a woman who was like a second mother to me, has died. I wish I had this game right now and I could distract myself from my sadness.

 

I wonder what Solas' views on the afterlife are. Forgive me, but I am not an expert at Dalish beliefs but I'm Pagan and I don't believe in a hell. It would be nice to think that, just as he doesn't see everything in two broad terms such as "good" and "bad" in life, that he feels the same for afterlife.

 

Note: I hope my beliefs don't upset anyone. The lady who passed was a Christian woman and she was very loving and understanding even knowing this. I also didn't want to go too offtopic so I was just trying to tie it back to Solas. I love all of you guys.

 

I'm not really a religious person, though I guess me growing up catholic rubbed off on me a bit, so.... Here's a prayer and my condolences (I would add a hugging gif too, but Photoshop is being stupid so....)

Thing is that it's not been confirmed. We can clearly see it's a Grey Warden with Hawke. But Mike Laidlaw has tweeted it was not "the" warden. Bioware didn't confirm that it was NOT the Awakening Orlesian commander though (since the Bioware default Mahariel canon has the ultimate sacrifice ending).

So the tweet may only reflect one specific story. If the warden is alive in your worldstate, it MAY be him/her in the picture. Nothing to prove or completely disprove this theory yet.
