I'll start! Name is Rebecca or Rebby. I'm 26 (27 in January). Straight female but supportive of all other genders/orientations. I'm in California, USA. I'm a writer finishing my first book and about to register the copyrights on that, so....yay. I also go to school full-time (Science major, yo!) I'm probably known on these threads for being that one person who sang Part of That Longjohns and did a few art thingies here and there. - How long have you been a Solassian for?

My first post was around June/July, I think but I liked him ever since back in April-ish time.

 

- What first attracted you to Solas as a character?

That he was a fade expert and no one seemed to like him. I always find myself defending the ones no one likes. Then, they started talking about how he refuses to see bad and good and that's when I was all in!

 

- What aspect of Solas's character are you most looking forwards to in DA:I?

I want to hear of his experiences in the fade and how he views the mage/templar conflict.

 

- Do you have a favorite piece of Solas art/fanfic/other fan creation?

Gotta love them all! I liked the Qunari/Solas comic (still bummed I cant romance him as Qunari) but I can't choose a specific art as favorite. DONT MAKE ME

 

- What's your pet Solas theory?

Not sure what this means...like my go-to theory? Well, I think the ancient elf one would be cool. I'm for the "girl of my dreams" romance idea as long as it doesn't get too cheesy. haha

That would be my Penelo! She will be a rogue and elf (uh, duh!) that is very...youthful and a carefree spirit. She likes to hide behind trees/bushes and jump out and scare people. She is fascinated by magic even though she was not born a mage. She likes to help the little guy but runs from responsibility and hates making heavy descisions.

-I've been a Solassian ever since I read the first interview about him from his writer.

 

-What first attracted me to Solas was seeing him help the Inquisitor in the Enemy of Thedas trailer. When he shoved the Inquisitors hand to the rift it made me smile, he just wanted to get it done and get it over with. Also his "It's more complicated than that" line intrigues me. I respect people that know there's more to life than what's on the surface.

 

-I'm most looking forward to piquing his brain he is The Mind after all. I want to hear about his travels and studies with the fade and his open minded opinion on things. I'm looking forward to thought provoking conversations.

 

-My favorite piece of art is by hyperbali on tumblr because the Inquisitor in it looks really close to how my Lavellan will look and I want an Aladdin type romance with Solas:

 

-My pet Solas theory is that he's an ancient elf with his own agenda that involves restoring some sort of elven glory. He may also be familiar with the Elder One through some ancient reason, so there might be a chance he'll have some "villainous" side to him, and I've said before I'm totally down to be his bride and rule over the fade with him if that's the case.

 

-My Inquisitor that's going to romance Solas will be a necromancer mage. Her alignment will be chaotic neutral, and her personality will be sarcastic and free spirited. I'm partially basing her off of Billie Lurk from the game Dishonored. My headcannon is that she was abandoned by her birth parents for reasons unknown and the Dalish clan found her as a baby and raised her as part of the community. I'm still working on more details about her.

I'm a Stay at home wife and don't have a drivers license...yet! Because well I will share with you all something I don't tell anybody unless they ask me. Ya'll are nice people so I wlll say this. I was born with genetic disease called Tuberous Sclerosis. I have seizures (well haven't had one in over 10 years Thank GOD!) tumors grow inside my body , I have  lesions on my brain which they are calcified now. The biggest threat I have right now is losing my Kidneys,they are engulfed with benign tumors and my Doctor says my kidneys look like an Apple core. I was time stamped as a child to die at the age of 30 ,GOD showed them. I can't have kids cause they will have a 50/50 chance of getting what I have.

My name is my uninspired display name, I'm 24, I'm female, I'm probably mostly straight but also asexual I don't even know though I should by now who needs labels anyway, I live in Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains. Pets? I live on a farm and I have 3 goats, 9 donkeys (with one on the way), chicks and ducks and geese better scurry and a turkey. I also have a diabetic cat and two Boston Terriers. Three BTs if you count my mom's. 

 

How long have I been a Solassian? Since I became attracted to Solas as a character.

 

When was I first attracted to Solas as a character? He had me at concept art, the character interview only built upon what was there.

 

I'm most looking forward to finding out exactly how he sees the Fade. I hope we'll actually find that out. I'm also looking forward to seeing how someone who has been alone most of their lives interacts with a group of people, especially one as...special as the Inquisition.

 

My favorite fan creations are Tamyn's. Also, that one with the embarrassing Inquisitor.

 

My pet Solas theory is all of theories. lies  I actually don't know. I don't want to get my hopes up on one in particular, so I like to imagine different ways each one that I've seen would work out.

Verana pulled her eyes up from a book of ancient Elven scriptures she had been studying that evening. She was sat on a rug on the floor, legs crossed with only the flame of a candle to aid her reading. She squinted her eyes, barely able to distinguish the silhouette in the doorway waiting for her response. It was Solas.

 

"I shouldn't be lecturing the leader of the Inquisition this late at night, but..."

 

"No, you shouldn't. You already do that enough as it is," she interrupted with an annoyed tone.

 

"Oh? I thought my knowledge and expertise were a welcome addition..." He paused, expecting a reply. "Goodnight then, Inquisitor."

 

"Wait," she said, suddenly. "I'm sorry, Solas. It's just been... a bad day," she sighed, closing her book and laying it down beside her.

 

"I know. I didn't come here to bother you. I was..." He paused and considered his words. "I was concerned."

 

She smiled to herself for a second. "No need. I will be fine. The healers have done all that they could for me."

 

"Oh, I don't doubt that at all. They are very talented. Injuries can be healed after all, but the mind... is a little more complicated."

 

He took a cautious step forward, entering her quarters. She was now able to see the stoic and calm expression on his face and it somehow comforted her. She rose up to her feet, dusting off the dirt from the floor and watched him approach her. He was always so quiet and graceful with his footing, as if he contemplated each and every step.

 

He stopped an arm’s distance away from her and peered at her with caring eyes. He didn’t say a word. Just waited.

 

“This is too much responsibility,” she said, rubbing her arm as if there was a chill in the air. She always rubbed her arms when she was nervous or stressed, he noticed. “I don’t know if I can do this, Solas.”

 

“You speak as if you are alone in this.”

 

She daren’t meet his eyes with hers. Right now all she wanted – or even needed - was his embrace and she was afraid that if she looked at him she would act upon her own feelings.

“I feel alone,” she said, turning her back to him. Oh, if only he’d put a hand on her shoulder. She could only wish and hope.

 

Verana was wearing the beautiful pine green gown she had worn to dinner that evening. Vivienne had graciously sent it to her with a note politely reminding her she needed to look more Orlesian. She felt a bit foolish wearing it, since it was a size too large, but Solas thought she looked stunning, and even more so now. The back of the dress draped down her back, exposing some of her lightly-freckled tanned skin. He gazed at her longingly before realising and snapping himself out of it. This isn’t what he came here for.

 

“Well, for what it’s worth, I would not be here risking my life if I had any doubt you could win this war.”

 

She turned back to him and smiled. “I’m glad you are, Solas. You’ve been...” She paused for a moment. Solas lifted his brow in anticipation and curiosity. “A valuable asset to the Inquisition.”

 

“Ah,” Solas muttered, his heart sinking to the pit of his stomach. “Well, that is what I’m here for, is it not?”

 

Verana simply nodded and gave him a half-smile.

 

He cleared his throat, hoping the look of disappointment was not quite so clear on his face.

 

“I should take my leave. Maker forbid what the others would think if someone caught me in here at this hour. Sleep well, Inquisitor.”

 

And with that, he turned around and disappeared from Verana’s quarters as quietly and gracefully as he entered.

She's going to be rogue with an attitude problem towards humans but she is otherwise kind hearted and won't let old prejudice cloud her judgement regarding what's right in the end. Won't stop her insulting them or their Chantry whenever she gets a chance though. Doesn't let people close to her easily but is loyal to those who she trusts and considers friend. Pale with turquoise eyes and black hair.

My name is Kaila. Female. 26. I live in a part of England where everyone sounds like Sera. I am straight and have been with my partner for nearly six years.

 

I've been a Solassian for not very long actually! I admit, I was hyped for Iron Bull for a very long time since I've always wanted to romance a Qunari, but after reading about Solas' personality, he kinda hooked me in. I'm very attracted to the introverted and intellectual types, and he seems very mature. And that makes a change from all the other Bioware romances I've pursued. xD

 

I plan on romancing him with my rift mage, Verana. She is also a bit of a hermit, hates people generally. She acts all self-assured and confident but she has her own insecurities about the role of an inquisitor, especially as a Dalish elf as well.

I'm ashamed to admit not particularly long.     I now divide my love equally between Dorian and Solas, but Dorian kept my focus away from our elven vagabond for a while.

Weekes' interview regarding Solas was what sparked my interest in him.  I just love the idea of him being removed from the influence of moral hegemons and forming his own opinions on matters.

 

-What aspects of Solas' character are you most looking forwards to in DA:I?

His open-mindedness.  I'm really excited to see what his perspective leads him to side with!

Alright, lets give this a whirl. 

-I'm Hazel. I'm a 25 year old ungraceful and not very feminine woman who is from a long line of Scots; so I function on sarcasm and self-deprecating humour. I'm straight, but will always stop to admire hot, regardless of gender. I'm a bit of an odd asexual. I am from and live in England, in an area I bet Solas would freaking love because it's full of all the odd druid things like Stonehenge and horses painted on hills, for...reasons. 

I have no pets, but I love birds and will try to unsuccessfully befriend them with offers of food and companionship.

 

- I have not been a Solassian for long. It just feels long because every month that isn't November isn't noteworthy to me right now. It's probably only been a month.

 

- I was attracted to Solas first from that hand moment in the Enemies of Thedas trailer and then the deal was sealed with the racegated romance. A chance to play a romance I can only experience with a very specific type is interesting to me.

 

- I want to know more about his dreaming, and his mug

 

- Too much great fan stuff to pick. So much pretty.

 

- I'm still of the mind that there is something a bit shifty to him. I'm not totally convinced he joins the inquisition out of a desire to save Thedas and can't seem to stopping imagining he has a unique interest in what the quizzy can do. Maybe something he isn't willing to tell them about until a dramatic moment. Hmmmm. He's probably just a really nice guy who wants to help and I'm a bad person

 

- My Inquisitor is based off the fact that I'm usually sloppy in my first playthrough. I also wanted her to be a contrast to my Dalish Warden who started out reluctantly and then realised she was great at this Wardening business, allowing her to becoming a strong leader. She will be a mage, because I want her to be a First. Her study of Dalish history is what has made her romanticise the whole hero idea and she so desperately wants to be like that. Needless to say that naive enthusiasm dies pretty heavily with that big boom at the start   She isn't a born leader and will just follow her heart, and so she will make mistakes (as I inevitably make all the bad choices) and her character will become much less 'rainbows and unicorns!' and into something darker as the game goes on. Depending on what Solas is like, he could save her from herself or make her his queen of evil.

I'm Cezelle (which is kinda obvious ) but most of my friends on the interwebs call me Cez, so feel free to do so if you want to. My real name is Nina, I'm 18 years old and in my last year of high school, I live in the Netherlands (which is this tiny country often confused with Germany, it's to the right of Great Britain if you want to pull out a map and know exactly where it is ) I'm planning to get a degree in history so it follows that I LOVE lore in video games!   My timezone is just an hour later than the UK's, but all the DA:I events/streams are usually timed horribly either way.. I since recently have a kitten named Mistral, she's a Ragdoll seal point tabby who's VERY talkative but such a cutie pie. (may post a photo later but I'm abysmal at photography..) Personal extra health tidbit in the spoiler you might/might not want to know, you decide

I have something called IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which causes me to miss a lot of school but got me into gaming because I've been studying half at home half at school since I was like 7 years old. It gives me a lot of discomfort and can get incredibly painful (up to the point where I can't walk around the house sometimes and just lay in bed the entire day) but if I didn't have it I wonder if would've discovered games like Dragon Age and got so interested in history and stories, so not so bad after all!   It's helped me cope a lot with my situation and even made me decide on my future career path. (and I wouldn't have met you guys either! But now off to the Solas part)

 

- How long have you been a Solassian for?

I've been a Solassian since the very beginning! But I started posting in here around April I think.

- What first attracted you to Solas as a character?

Ok I gotta say, it was the pointed ears and him being a mage at first..(total sucker for elves here ahem..) But when his personality was described I just couldn't stop loving him!   

- What aspect of Solas's character are you most looking forwards to in DA:I?

Definitely his Fade expertise and all the interesting stories he experienced through his dreams. And the romance of course, can't forget that.

- Do you have a favorite piece of Solas art/fanfic/other fan creation?

I.. seriously can't pick, I see these beautiful things being made every day I just can't decide which I find the best, they're all really amazing! I'm so jealous you guys can make such pretty things.. 

- What's your pet Solas theory?

I don't really have a favourite theory, but I really like him being an ancient elf awakening from Uthenera. (And him being a total dork, otherwise my quizzy will take over that role  ) 

- Tell us about the Inquisitor you plan to romance Solas with

I haven't really decided on a personality yet, but it's going to be with an elf mage called Siri, she's got freckles (I'm SO glad they put that in after all!), black hair (going for the longest available ) and really dark brown eyes, I like the idea of her not being prejudiced to the other races though, and very open to learn about all the other cultures. (maybe I'll just cave in halfway through though and play as my own personality because I'm too curious to ask about everything to forget that I had a set personality for my elf)
