About companions showing sympathy for the Warden, I'd like to point out that Zevran does as well. He recites a horrid poem because he saw they were sad, and wanted to see them smile. That moment still makes me grin and blush. XD

I agree with all of you. I love to bits DAO's companions, end even if the feeling of go "all Gibbs" on Fenris was big (but really the feeling was there for all DA2...I have this headcanon my Hawkes have ruined and callous hands after all these years in kirkwall Gibbs slapping all her companions) Sometines it feel like they don't care about the PC.

 

Thane's death was quite disappointing.

Really. I'm sad about Mordin, I loved him...but Thane deserve tears too!!! why no one remember him!?!? was he an illusion!?!? I had this doubt before Citadel. many based IT on the Casper.

Me on Thane and Kal'Reegar. I just can't fathom Tali didn't say a word about him when receiving the mail. I found her drunk, yes...but for Miranda's father!?!?! Whoa, a guy that in ME2 seemed to be quite fond for is dead...and she drinks about...Miranda's family problems!?!? really?!?!?!  

 

Sigh. at least I see I'm not the only one that find some things about DAO where a little disappointing. I still have to drink that bottle of wine with Shianni and tell her everithing, and to explain Alistair abouth the marriage. I have to say I was disappointed by those, I know, little and good even if leaft for headcanon, but cute things.

 

I hope not only the romances, but the friendships will have some moments of comfort from the companions, or some personal questions.

The Alistair griping makes me giggle. And I've had a long day that's left me in need of some laughter, so thanks, Illyria! 

 

I've never tried to rivalmance Fenris. I'm kind of a big mush that way. I have heard a bunch of people say it was better than the friendmance, though...maybe I'll be able to make myself try it someday.

As for rivalmance vs friendmance for Fenris... I've tried both but actually found rivalmancing him to be too depressing.  His friendmance is much better, although much tougher to do for me since I generally play an apostate on the mage path.  Rivalmance!Merrill on the other hand is amazing.

 

But that's enough about DAO and DA2 companions.

 

I'm hoping that, since it was written first, Solas' friendship path will be will as good as Morrigan's friendship path (her friendship is my DAO benchmark for amazing writing).  Well written romances are good, obviously, but I can make friends with more characters than I can romance in a single playthrough.

I wish, but somehow I don't think so. At this point, though, I'm pretty okay with that. We're getting close to being able to hear him ALL THE TIME, after all.  I don't think the Cullen one is ever going to be released because of the sound issues either. Really loved the ones we got, though. Ramon Tikaram's voice...chocolate for the ears.

 

And thanks for the Blackwall info! That's really cool that a bunch of people had already figured it out. He's got a great, grumbly voice. Very nice.

So, how much time does Solas spend in the wilderness/Fade? Does he ever venture into towns or villages for supplies (or gossip? lol) or do you think he makes everything himself?

Side note, am I the only one who thinks it's pretty awesome that he is the one to seek out the Inquisitor? I realize he does this regardless of you jumping into those longjohns, but...

I'd think he ventures into villages for supplies occasionally, but considering his initial look, my guess is he spends most of his time on his own. Plus he seems like he might be a little...socially tone deaf, if you go by his interaction with the Avvar scout in one of the gameplay demos. So maybe he doesn't spend much time around people, possibly keeping an ear to the ground for info, but not interacting much. I really think he should have a pet Fennec. I don't care how Disney princess it is, he just seems like one of those solitary woodsy types who has a small creature for a companion. This is totally my headcanon, anyway. The Fennec can sleep in that blankety thing he wears, provide easy company, sometimes hunt up some dinner...and get into all sorts of things it shouldn't at Skyhold.

 

And yeah, I think it's cool that Solas seeks us out! It looks good for him being our first mage, which means all kinds of time with him.
