I thought I would be happy watching all these new vids, but instead I'm so jealously grumpy that they don't care about Dragon Age as much as we do and they get to play it and not us. x'D Man... I wonder what difficulty they were playing on.

 

Yeah same, these people didn't care at all about the game. I think they did a poor job of trying to sell it to new players if that was EA's goal in letting people that don't play the game record and try it out. All i have been seeing in the comments is the new ppl they want to buy the game calling it garbage because the ppl who play don't know what they are doing.

 

You'd think you would want someone who at least knows about the game playing because their enthusiasm would be infectious. Instead they got people that don't know anything about the game running around not knowing how to kill anything. Its like they didn't even want to try and learn how to use the controls. Then they complain the combat is terrible because they die all the time. Way to advertise for Dragon Age. [Rant over]

 

Anyway back to Solas. I wonder how Solas knows so much about closing the rifts in the fade? I know he spends a lot of time in the fade but doesn't seem like something that would be common knowledge. Will be interesting to see. I am looking forward to asking him a bunch of questions and just listening to him talk all day lol. We need story time with solas as he recants all his ageless wisdom to us haha. Someone needs to make a picture of the inquisitor and companions around a camp fire listening to Solas tell stories like a Hahren (dalish storyteller).

I have noticed spoilers seeping out into other sections lately. Luckily I missed the cause and only saw the anger. I think I'll just hide in here D:

Playing Shadow of Mordor to help with the wait. There's a few VAs from Dragon Age in it though so its not succeeding at clearing my mind completely of Inquisition. I also had a weird dream last night that I left the start menu running so it would load the CG trailer video (like origins and 2 have) and it was just endless clips of cameos from past characters... And Fenris had long hair... There was a lot of close ups of Oghren as well. Weird dream was weird.

Hah, I actually thought that myself the other day! That would be so neat! If not I bet he has a great interest in the ancient elves and city of days of Arlathan and the magic of the day. When we eventually meet Morrigan i'm sure there conversations will be really interesting while he nerds about the Eluvian haha.

haha omg exactly! Poor varric, I hope we can become bros with him like hawke. At least they can connect on the fact that they were both thrown into the inquisition not by choice but by accident and force. If Varric wasn't friends with Hawke he wouldn't of been forced to be there. Same goes for the inquisitor. If the inq wasn't the only one to survive the blast and get that marking, or wasn't there, they wouldn't of needed them to head the Inquisition. That can be there point of similarity they can build from.

I'm already thinking that Varric is going to be a bit different this time around. Perhaps less upbeat. But hopefully not Anders level of different. It's going to be weird not being his bro. Even my most sadistic Hawkes would still make time for Varric.

I wonder if he will ever give Solas a nickname or not. I find it odd to hear him call people by their actual names.

It sounds like Varric may be with Cass in Haven. So do you guys think Solas will be in Haven as well? Or maybe the first place you go after that? I'm trying to remember how quickly I got companions in the previous games. I feel like I got everyone in 2 really quickly.

Oh I would love this! And it would just make him even more interesting,also it might explain why vis romance is so heavily gated

^THIS.  Varric sounds...older.  Still has a sense of humor, but I felt like there was a bitter edge to him here.  And when the Kirkwall conversation happened I was all like:

I remember in the Gamescom videos Solas did the same thing at the Fallow Mire and the female Inquisitor took it and lit something up and that's when a few of those bad things  came out and they had to kill them. I could be totally wrong but maybe there is more to the veilfire.
