This game is going to kill me, not just story and the gameplay but they´ve got some fiiine voice actors and I have a thing for voices So Solas,Dorian and Cole(found his voice really soothing in a way) are all going to kill me

I'm already thinking that Varric is going to be a bit different this time around. Perhaps less upbeat. But hopefully not Anders level of different. It's going to be weird not being his bro. Even my most sadistic Hawkes would still make time for Varric.

I wonder if he will ever give Solas a nickname or not. I find it odd to hear him call people by their actual names.

It sounds like Varric may be with Cass in Haven. So do you guys think Solas will be in Haven as well? Or maybe the first place you go after that? I'm trying to remember how quickly I got companions in the previous games. I feel like I got everyone in 2 really quickly.

 

Yeah I agree, Varric is probably going to be a lot different this time around. He already seems less agreeable then he was in DA2. More willing to speak his mind and not let things slide. I think It was hard to be rivals with him unless you were talking about loving a good fight and being rather nasty to people violently. I think my first inq who will be a witty, kind hearted, and free spirited fem elf, is going to get along with him just fine because she will think of how this effects the people first.

 

I don't know about the nickname, hmm maybe. He doesn't seem as warm and cuddly as he was in DA2, maybe if Varric starts warming up to the inquisition he will give a nickname to those he likes. I am sure he will give cass a spiteful nickname to which cass will be super annoyed with haha.

 

I am not sure if Solas will be in Haven. I think the vids confirm we will get him very early on and he will be our first mage. I am wondering how they come upon solas and how he comes to help the inquisition.

 

Maybe when the inquisitor is first sent to the fade during the blast, solas is in the fade and saw everything that transpired. Maybe solas saved them? The inq coming back to consciousness and remembers seeing solas there and tells Cassandra, in turn they try to track him down because he might know something of what transpired.

 

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't they say that we might be going to a Dalish gathering of the clans? If so we might find him there and he ops to try and help because it effects all people including the Dalish. I bet he also comes along for pure fascination of learning so much on there travels. I in-vision Solas being a huge nerd haha.

As I said before I think Cass will bring us back to the site of the explosion where we close our first rift,maybe that´s where we meet him?  What I´m curious about is if the advisors are travelling with Cass and Varric, I mean it makes sense for Leliana and Cullen, but Josephine?

Yeah that makes sense! since we need a third party member right away lol. he will probably be there nerding out trying to understand what happened and volunteer's to help out.

 

Maybe Josephine is there in-case something needs to be solved diplomatically? or she had no choice but to come along. hmm its an interesting question.

Haha "nerding out" love it But yeah exactly what I think I´ve been thinking about it for some time but I wouldn´t be surprised if Leliana recruits her after you get to Skyhold, becuase I can´t really see why she would be travelling to see the divine. I mean it looks like Cass and Leliana have started the inquisition at the end of DA2 but it seems restricted to people who are part of the chantry, but then again I could be wrong

I agree, I never saw Solas as being awkward at all! I think he is going to be confident and fascinating. Helping the Inquisitor wherever he can with the knowledge he brings about the fade.

 

I find him to be a really important character actually, who is like a mentor in helping the inquisitor understanding the fade and their new found powers to close the rifts in the veil.

 

Yeah the prologue is going to be really interesting! I agree, Leliana might of called Josephine early on when they started forming the inquisition to be their diplomat.

 

It is interesting. Why the inquisitor who knows absolutely nothing prior to being blasted, and gaining the ability to mend the tears in the Veil, all of a sudden becomes the leader is a mystery to me as well.

 

I am sure Cass and Leliana are much more highly qualified to do that. However I guess having a neutral party, someone that was just a regular person before the events started, and was never involved in the mage, templar war, or part of the chanty come in as the leader would be the best person to unite everyone under one common banner in order to save the world from disaster. Especially because the person is literally the only person who can close the veil. I guess calling them the herald of Andraste will help solidify any resistance people might have of the inq becoming the leader.

 

My dalish elf might have some few choice words about becoming the herald of Andraste however

Maker bless whoever it was that listed the timestamps where Solas talks. Because I watched about the first 7 minutes of the no-commentary video before I had to stop. The frustration. So. Much. FRUSTRATION. Running in circles waiting on cool-downs instead of just, you know, doing a normal melee? Ignoring EVERYTHING that you could interact with. I just... the completionist in me will probably spend the rest of my life just on one "perfect" playthrough, but that was driving me NUTS. As was the sort of scary realization that not only have these folks not really ever played a DA game before... um, I was seriously starting to wonder if they'd ever played A GAME before. That was a lot of awkward herp-a-derping in these videos. Which is odd because a lot of games share somewhat similar controller layouts, when all is said and done. 

 

I'm just wanting to grab the controller away and be all like, "THIS IS AN INTERVENTION."

How old do y'all suppose Solas was when he ran off to live in the wilderness?

I always figured he was very young, perhaps a child... his bio says he's been on his own for "most of his life" and magic seems to manifest sometime between childhood and puberty, sooo...

Haha that's exactly what I think I he is an ancient elf he probably wouldn't be awkward.Btw was it ever said if he's a fresker or not? Prologue is probably one of The things I'm looking forward to the most for some reason

Haha right I'm thinking that we're getting Dorian first (after we've gotten to skyhold) since he provides a connection to the venatori,pretty sure you can just pick up characters like bull and cole whenever you want and some of then a bit later

After 48 hours of Destiny believe me, no matter how good it might sound you do not want Peter Dinklage serving as the party's magic expert. If Solas was anything like Ghost we'd be in trouble:
