I love Quest for Camelot! I totally wanted to be Kayley when I was younger. I might've also had a mild crush on Garrett. And Cary Elwes, who I just found out voiced Garrett. I may have also grown up with Robin Hood Men in Tights, and Princess Bride.
SAME. I loved that movie so much! Was one of my favorite childhood memories! I can see their romance being Garrett and Kayley like lol.
I was pondering the 'story reasons' for why Solas would only romance a lady Elf. Most people assume babies, but what about this?
That would be so cool omg lol. I want this to happen now! It could work if he only mentions it to a lady elf once their already in a established relationship. Or he had a dream about the events that occurred with the veil being torn and he just knew he had to help the inquisitor

I've never seen that movie, but that video was so cute.Ohhhh that is such an interesting question! I hope we find out by Solas. Has to be a reason he decided to live all alone in the forest. Something must of happened. Either he felt himself a burden to his family if they hid him, his family maybe didn't understand his magical talent so he ran away, and opted to living secluded from everyone else, or he has always been alone and found solace in the forest.
Okay this is going to be really corny but I don't know if you guys remember watching the kids movie "Quest to Camelot" at one point, but there is a guy in it that is blind and lives alone in a forest but he takes great stride in it and has learned to make best of the situation by mastering it so to speak. That is what i thought of when you asked lol. The inq can be the girl wanting to learn more haha. So embarrassing but there you have it haha *hides*

Yeah I think he must of been young when he left, at least by his teenage years since magical abilities usually manifest at puberty or it can be earlier. He must of had a pretty secluded life. However his talks with spirits in the fade is so fascinating! Also the ability he has to sleep in an area where the veil is thin and wake up in a different time period and see happened to that area where the veil is weak is so interesting I am jealous! I hope Solas takes us to see something like that one day. That would be so cool I'd nerd out haha.
I mean, Solas must love the wilderness if he stayed there so long... mage Hawke and co. managed to operate unnoticed in Kirkwall for a few years at least, so it's not like it's impossible to blend in in the city. Looks to me like once he got to the wilderness he just decided he liked it LOL.
I legit LOL'd.Solas is fantastic in all the videos. He's very Garrett like, I agree. I didn't think Solas would be awkward, so much as baffled by the crazy Inquisitor who embraces all this mayhem, and pranks. He seems very confident.
Honestly, the only awkward companions we've seen so far are Cass, Cole, and Iron Bull. I'm including Bull simply because he makes things awkward, not because he is. Cass's awkwardness is endearing, and so is Cole's. I have confirmed that I also want to play a male Inquisitor eventually, even if it's awkward. Just to romance Cass. And maybe Dorian, once we've seen more of him.

While I honestly think his race gating has to do with A- limited resources on the part of the devs and B- something to do with elves/the Fade/the Eluvians etc. I'm beginning to think I'm the only person on the forum who wouldn't mind if it WAS about babies.
I mean, just like in real life there are folks who are adamant about not wanting kids, there are also people who long to be fathers and mothers... again, I don't actually think this is why he's gated. But if it was, it wouldn't bother me. Some people like kids. *shrugs*
I don't mind too.
But I must admit some people are quite rude when stating they don't like children, and sometimes they speak of children as if is wrong liking them and wanting them.
Like, really, wanting children doesn't mean you see your patner as only a uterus or a sperm dispencer. Is just ridicolous. And yet that is just like some people who don't want children describe a person who express the desire to want a child. Is quite offensive, if I can say.

Solas is present. Also, they said that they are right at the beginning of the game. When they went in to switch their party members, the only three companions present were Cass, Varric, and Solas. So it looks like you Solas fans get to meet your boyfriend early on!

I think it's been already discussed here,but I'm just dropping to say that after the playthrough videos I'm even more excited about Solas' nerdy self!I always wanted a companion like him in the DA games.Plus his voice is like velvet!
Solas he did say something in the game in the stream ...but I couldn't quite make out what he said. Oh well I'm glad they had him in the party again.

I'm thinking someone can make an elf who looks like Fenris in this CC. I mean it's pretty detailed. That would be hilarious to just headcanon Fenris as the Inquisitor!
Edit: If he shows up later in gameplay, you'll have to headcanon that there was a disruption in the space/time continuum.
