I'm just going to take that with a grain of salt. 

 

All of my LI's in the past DA games have lived so I don't think there will be a sad ending unless you make some poor choices.

What have people been saying about romances? The only character thread I pay attention to anymore is this one, since I got tired of seeing people discussing banging and fisting or whatever in the others. I can't fathom having a story already completed in my own head about a game we haven't played yet. I mean, silly speculations and joking is one thing, but...?

Solas fans are ready for whatever comes our way I think. We are always discussing different scenario's and what if's. I think we are well prepared since were always analyzing different things.

Yeah same. Most of the discussion in other threads that I have seen was very one track minded lol. Here were always discussing different things. It is probably because were the fans that are attracted to how intellectual and nerdy Solas is and probably a bit like that our selves haha. I know I am lol. So our discussion is centered on lore and and being solas like, trying to analyze every detail of Solas we get haha.

It's so funny. I came into this game with Sera/Bull/Blackwall/Solas/Dorian on roughly equal level, but it was the initial "eewww bald elf" crap that made me determined to love Solas, haha. I'm still definitely going after the others (including Cullen, Josie, and Cass) but the nerd boyfriend has taken precedeeennce.

Eh, I think it's mostly people taking one or another thing for granted, like "X person will probably die" and "Y person has zero substance". Everybody speculates, though. I mean, I remember re-reading the Carver/Varric/Aveline threads waaaay after DA2 came out, and some of the stuff people guessed was hilarious in hindsight. I imagine much of our speculation here will likewise make us cringe once we've had DAI for a while... lol.

I was going to post something like that awhile ago lol anyways I agree he wouldn't be a Romance if he was going to be working for the bad guy. Of course just like the other DA games we will probably still have choices that could hurt our LI's , anger them to the point where they leave or kill them or keep them alive it would depend on what choices we made. (Of course I like to keep everyone alive)

Must be at least a little frustrating for Gaider and the rest of the devs, though, so I can't begrudge them laughing evilly at us.  Fans take the tiniest bit of information, construct elaborate headcanons out of them, then proceed to get all upset with the devs because how dare the actual game not match up with MY headcanon?! 

 

I used to get really upset over romances that didn't turn out happily. I think I've overcome that hurdle with Anders--he was such a trainwreck, but it was an amazing story, and I was able to appreciate that even if I wanted to throttle him.  I still personally prefer more functional LIs (Garrus, Kaidan, etc.), but I'll take an emotional rollercoaster too!
