I love the fanarts of the fade.

 

Hopefully he doesn't know...  I always skip the fade now. After playing through it about 4 times, I said never again. I also say that about the Deep roads, and about the tower of Ishal. The deep roads bother my claustrophobia if I play them outside of tactical mode. And both sections drag really bad. Of course, I'm now on my millionth playthrough of Origins.. So. Apparently I say those things, then promptly ignore them.

 

Also, I am so looking forward to my rotating party of Solas, Cole, Iron Bull, and Sera.

Broodmother was the worst (but Hespith's poem is my absolute favorite part of Origins... maybe i just like horror a little too much)

 

i finally got comfortable with the Fade on my 3rd play thru, and except for the one section where you don't get a transformation (never seem to be able to find my way smoothly through that part), i can get through it pretty quick. i kind of love the Fade now, and am really looking forward to seeing what happens with it in Inquisition. if we go in, can we take anyone? how will that affect the different companions? questions... (i've been gone for a while, so if this has already been gone over, apologies)

 

The poem is one thing I really loved about the Deep Roads. Just listening to it as we carefully inched our way through the corridors, feeling the growing horror of what was being said. It was an awesome moment.

 

It would be interesting to see the dreams or nightmares of our companions if we end up in the Fade again, but I'm going to guess we wouldn't see one for Solas because of how he interacts with the Fade. Which would be too bad, but maybe he would be more like a tour guide and it will work out better that way.

Oh creators! I absolutely hated the fade,,,in both the beginning of the mage origin and later on in the story.I just think it's so I don't know..bland looking.Hopefully it looks a bit different this time around.

 

Oh and I hated the Deep roads quest more then then the fade ones xD

I hope this time the fade is more mind-bending and surreal, I really want to feel like I'm lost in a dreamworld. The fade part of Origins was okay but it wasn't imaginative enough for me, kinda got repetitive after a while. I liked that the deep roads was unsettling, made the experience more visceral.

Solas is kinder and gentler with Cole than he is with any other follower.

so, everyone stopped every time Hespith said something their first run, right? i certainly did going "Whaaaaaaaaaaatt... the heck?!"  

 

i did love that part of the Fade in Origins! and especially seeing who was affected most, who realized it was a dream, and who just.. didn't have anything. i bet you're right about Solas not having one (that we see, anyway). if he's essentially made the Fade his second home, he's gonna know how to get around in it without too much trouble. (like the Fire Swamp in Princess Bride!) i do hope we get to see others' relations to the Fade at some point though. and learn whatever Solas has to teach us.

Honesty, that section of the Fade is the reason I always end up playing a mage in Origins. It's just that I have a hard time believing that someone who has never been conscious in the Fade could disbelieve that situation and deal with it the same way a mage would be able to. A Circle mage is taught all their life to be wary of things in the Fade and the Fade its self, whereas to regular people it just some weird place they go when they dream and then forget about when the wake up. Just my personal take on it.

Anybody else notice how people in other threads are calling Solas racist because of his race gating and because of that conversation he had with Varric.

Well that's pretty rude. Especially when it has been said a banter between IB,Varric and elf might be quizzy or the companions (Team Humans are crazy) they talk about how crazy the humans are. Then I guess IB is racist and so is Varric.

Yeah, well, Varric didn't exactly disagree, now did he? I'm still reserving judgement until I know everyone in context of the game, because one banter is not going to tell you who they really are. But hey! If he really is racist, then he'll have a reason beyond wanting a uterus for the race-gating! I wonder which reason people would find more unsavory.
