I liked Velanna too. There's no DA companion I've disliked. I'd just prefer not to have another Velanna type again! 

 

Also, what kind of choices do you all think will anger Solas? I'm actually thinking that he's a companion you want to have with you if you're going to make a questionable decision. Solas doesn't really strike me as a paragon type. I think if any companion could understand the reasoning behind a slightly immoral decision, it'd be Solas. As long as the decision isn't made with complete maliciousness or intentional cruelty.

Didn´t the swedish interview mention him caring about the elves? Which works with my theory about him being an anicent elf But yeah I think he might be a bit more flexible and open minded than some of the other companions.

I don't think he's going to like decisions which imply narrow-mindedness or a binary black and white world view, and I think he'll dislike.. aggressive, thuggish actions.

This one is a little obvious but: I think taking an anti-spirit stance will annoy him, particularly in regards to Cole.

If he gets protective of Cole that'll be the death of me. Maybe he interrupts during some banter between Sera or Vivienne and Cole for that reason!

Since my Trevelyan grew up in the Circle the belief of demons being bad will lead her for quite some time unless Solas has a GOOD reason, at least in her mind, to accept a demon's offer. She will be wary, but curious about Cole because of his nature.

 

My Lavellan will be more accepting, like any Dalish elf is really. "It's a spirit y'all, calm your ******, 'kay?" Actually, she'll be more like: "If you're willing to accept the consequences with your own decisions in real life, then it is no different with spirits. It's give and take wherever you go, the sooner you accept that the better."

Since Cole doesnt have to be recruited, and presumably you don't have to bring Solas on his recuritment mission, I wonder how a Cole-less game for Solas would play out? 

 

...somebody else can figure that out though, I'm not gonna do it

I think he'll dislike over the top cruelty and anti mage/fade/spirit world opinions. I think he'll be morally neutral unless it's something really extreme. My inquisitor is going to be sarcastic but a pragmatist and a bit ruthless so I'm curious to see what will and won't bother him. I think he's mostly neutral though overall.

I have to disagree about Velanna. I really really didn't like her. I've become more neutral as time has passed, but she's the only companion I haven't liked. (Other than Tallis, as a temporary companion, who completely blows Velanna out of the competition on the dislike scale.) I would have liked Velanna more if she had grown as a character outside of the banters. The character growth she undergoes during the banters feels separate from her character throughout the game. It doesn't completely match up. If you don't run around with her in the party with the right people, you can completely miss her character growth. It seems like she doesn't change at all if you don't put her in the party with Nathaniel.

 

I will admit that part of my feelings towards her character may be clouded because I wanted to romance Nathaniel with a human noble. It would have been amazing to watch them overcome their shared history.

 

 

I wonder if my fiance would let me have a pillow with Solas's face on it.. I might let him have one with Morrigan in return. Or maybe I could hide it? For when he's out of town? Or working late..

 

 

I'm so excited about Solas and Cole's friendship. It sounds amazing. My own little Fade family, with mage Lavellan, Solas, and Cole. It sounds like something straight out of disney.

 

Cole:Inquisitor... Some of our companions don't seem to... notice me.
