Ulee will definitely have Sumalee's voice. Besides, she was born as a CE, and her father stayed with her in the clan (and he would definitely have a more traditional city elf accent). I could see this influencing her speech pattern.

 

Later, when I play my mage Lavellan, she will use Alix's voice. But then I just imagine her being more ethereal....or something. She will be a tad "daintier" than Ulee, so I think Alix's voice will work just fine.

 

I am in some agreement, regarding the two voices. I really can only see two of my (hopefully) planned Inquisitors, using Alix. The rest will sport Sumalee. As for my "boys" (men ), I think they will be split down the middle, between the two voices. But, we shall see. I reserve the right to change my mind.

Hmm, I don't remember hearing the American male voice, actually. So I haven't picked one for my first Inquisitor. Poor thing is still voiceless. He'll be a Dalish rogue and probably very interested in what Solas has to say about the Fade and elves.

I haven't actually heard how Jon Curry is voicing his version of the Inquisitor, but I have liked him in other things. Granted, Zevran still comes to mind, and that certainly wouldn't do, to sound like him....but obviously, there is no worry there. I think he will do a fine job though, and I like the british fellow as well (who I keep forgetting the name of )

I thought I'd be in the minority playing a Sumalee elf as well! her lower, more masculine, more commanding tone suits Gryff Lavellan a lot better than AWR's voice (AWR's voice is lovely tho ofc and her work is great and shes super sweet obvs)

I'm glad we have the different voices this time around. It was always strange to me to hear the same voice from Hawke or Shepard even though I changed looks and attitude between playthroughs. I won't hear the qunari speak and expect to see my elf.

What do you guys think of the implications the mark will have on the inquisitor? That has to have some consequences. Will be interesting to find out how the inquisitor came to have it. The mark can close the rifts in the fade and can become more powerful. But what is the mark on the inquisitor's hand really? It almost looks like a rift in the fade itself. Like the Inquisitor instead of dying like everyone else at the site something else happened to them. Did they become part of the fade or did a spirit save them? That figure perhaps? Maybe when we touch that women she bestows the power to close rifts?

 

Idk will be interesting to find out! Hopefully solas will have some answers for us so we don't feel so overwhelmed by our new responsibility.

People pointed out that in the CC demos the green hand can be seen before the Inq goes to reach out to the woman. I'm guessing we get forcefully pulled into the Fade, which acts like a bomb shelter when the explosion happens. Maybe the mark is like a fishhook scar from whatever yanked us in. I hope I get to play a character completely freaked out in the beginning about having an interdimensional hole in her hand.

oooh that can make for some interesting personal drama if it can become unstable again! lol. Love it! I like the idea of a fishhook like scar from being pulled in. Same here! I want my dalish elf to be like no this is not right and natural. My elf does not like things she can't explain. Solas will have to come and sooth her fears and tell her he will be there to help where she needs.

No, definitely not. Sumalee's voice just fits better with the character I had in mind. Good to know I'm not the only one

Does anyone else hear Corypheus when the Elder One speaks ? It sounds similar to me.

 

That voice reminds me of the Profane that was possessed by a demon in the Deep roads in DA2.  sounds like him.

I'll be using Alix's voice too for my first Quizzy, I think  I have in mind a curious and sweet lady, I believe her voice fits her best. 

Sumalee's voice is cool though, on my second run I'll definitely use hers.

I'm leaning towards the American voice for my dalish elf because it'll add to the outsider vibe but I haven't quite decided yet.

30 days, 21 hours to go until the game. So excited. I'll be using the American VA on elf and dwarf play throughs. British on human and Qunari. I think that's what the default is currently set up in the CC.

Ooh! See, when we first saw the enemies trailer I thought the 'evil' narrator sounded like corypheus minus the accent. Regardless if it's him he sounds amazing. Gives me chills. I love the architect's voice too.

Also going to be using Sumalee for my Dalish elf, but I was planning to use her for my first Inquisitor even when I was planning a human, because she suits a badass female character so well and I love playing them. My second (human mage) inquisitor will be a quirky nerd (sort of a female version of Finn from Witch Hunt) so Alix will be perfect.

Hard to say if she's upset or just very determined. Buut it gives us a good look at Solas' face.

I just had a really weird realization.

Like, if I start playing and I end up being a female elf, 90% chance I'm romancing Solas. Not because I'm particularly partial to him because at this point, I'm keeping an open stance on everyone besides Cole(the bae). I'll do it because it's kind of like capitalizing on an a very limited chance. I can be any other other race and get everyone else besides Cullen(not really interested in him like that anyway). Of course just because I'm an elf, it doesn't force my glowy hand into choosing chrome dome but if I don't get on with him in that first playthrough, It'll be at least three more playthroughs before I'll be another lady elf. 

 

And he is way too interesting to me to wait so long unless I find I hate him. Just some thoughts I had.

I will also be playing my F!Elf Inquisitor with Sumalee's voice. The idea of such a slender, little elf with as rich and powerful a voice as Montano's is just amazing Ugh, this game. I can't waits.
