I am abit of late, but have my sympathy and condolences aswell. I know how it really really feels and it really breaks my heart even if I don't know you. My Sola sends you lot of hugs.
Thank you, I'm glad your Sola is doing well btw (also completely adorable), vet visits are never fun and sometimes a little terrifying to go through.

I can't really explain fully why, but "Stolen Dance" by Milky Chance makes me think it's "their" song for Solas and my Lavellan. I think largely because it's a very mellow song with the singer being mostly calm/smooth during it, which reminds me of how Solas has largely sounded so far in the snippets we've gotten. But also sings of a love that's a bit separated/complicated in that it's shown in stolen moments and stolen dances... I could see that with the Inquisitor being such a central leader figure that any relationship is likely to be pretty hard and free-time even harder to come by, that the "stolen" little moments will be the ones that mean the most.

A verrrrry old fashioned song for a Solas romance would be Dream Lover. "I want a dream lover, so I don't have to dream alone." For me, it's perfect, if a little cheesy.
As for the Solas fans being hipsters: I was over hating hipsters before hating hipsters was cool.

This song (Capercaillie - Price of Fire) feels like it might fit a Solas romance for some reason. It's more Scottish than Welsh but still beautifully haunting to me.
I have never commented before (I have been lurking and reading these posts for a long time), but I had to login and say this song is so absolutely perfect for a Solas romance! I was just listening and thinking just how much the lyrics seemed so much like the story or what we know of it so far.
