What a cliffhanger, this is really cool. I wonder if something like that will go down in the game. I could see it happening slowly over the arc of the romance and then hit a culmination that ends with some crazy boss battle in the fade lol.

I love it when the temptations of the Fade are presented as actually, you know, tempting. It's delicious! Would love to read more. 

Thank you!  I really like the Fade in concept, though the in-game implementation can be a bit patchy.  So I will probably wind up spamming more snippets of our marvelous magical Fade elf.

Yep, that was me. It all started when Blackwall fans wanted to know the color of his eyes, and then it went on from there. Solas is a handsome elf, to be sure!

Well thank you both..I thought we would never get to know his eye color before the game released. 

 

 

EDIT: Also I agree Solas is a Handsome elf.. can't wait for this game to come out,I can't even concentrate on my Borderlands the presequel pt!

By the way, did Solas ever get a VA interview? I didn't see it listed in the links, if he had. Edit: After looking more closely, I see there's a spot there for it, but it hasn't appeared, yet. So I'm hoping that there will be one!

No he hasn't. I hope they do have one for him but I have a feeling that not every companion/advisor will get one...I could be totally wrong though.

 

But a few months back a Solassian here(Mademon) paid Gareth David- Lloyd to do some video for her and  the Solas thread.The link is on the first post here on the thread under More news and it says video message.

I can barely concentrate either, I'm re-playing Origins at the moment and I keep glaring a Zathrian and going; "You are not Solas."

I saw that one. Really nice of him to do that (even though he was paid to do it, lol) I'd like to hear more of what Solas sounds like. He seems to have a very nice voice. I think in one of the newer trailers he's saying something along the lines of "I wonder what kind of hero you'll be" or some-such. Edit: "Every great war has its heroes. I'm just curious what kind you'll be."

I'm sure you all have discussed this already, but I'm curious. Since you can romance Solas only with a female elf, do you think it's better to do it as a mage, a rogue, or a warrior? Do you think a magic user will have any difference in the romance versus a non-magic user?

You can pick up Inquisition dialogue perks so your character knows more about magic and history.  As long as you have the perks, I don't think the game dialogue in general would vary too much; you can have a non-magic user who's just as knowledgeable about magic, just not capable of practicing it.  Sort of like Dagna.  On the other hand, since Solas is so tied up in the Fade, I think romancing him with a mage might give you a few little extras.

 

I'm romancing him with a rogue, mostly for gameplay reasons.  But I think having a character who starts off knowing very little about magic is kinda cute, since Solas could mentor you in magical lore on top of helping with the glowing green hand.

I think that perhaps a mage will be able to understand him more, as well as what he teaches may apply more for a mage as he is one. Whether you find it more romantic for them to have discussions/lessons on mages and magic or whether he can teach a non-mage Inquisitor more about magic and help break any stereotypes that they might have believed in, that's up to you!

I was just thinking that maybe a mage would have more experience in wandering around the Fade, but I suppose since elves dream no matter what, it doesn't really matter. I'm trying to decide on what class I want to choose for my elf. I like rogues, but I also like mages. However, if I'm going to romance Solas and I want him in my party, having two mages seems a bit redundant. I suppose I'll stick with rogue, since that seems to be where my heart is.
