I'm glad I'm not the only one who d'awwed at fidget!shy Solas. My boyfriend glanced over at my monitor, presumably expecting to see a puppy or something, but nope. It was an adorable, middle-aged elf dude.

I love fidgety Solas! He looks so shy. And Bashful. I just want to harrass him with my Lavellan.   The shy ones are so fun to tease and harrass.

 

And I love the comic with Solas, Lavellan and Cullen. It reminds me of the potential jealousy material for her. Since she can romance.. 7ish characters? If I remember right. That's a super crazy love triangle. Or would it be a octogon?

Unless I'm very much mistaken, that was Sola standing in front of clearly Circle mages wearing civilized clothing, correct? The ears seem pointy.

If so, I am most intrigued by this. Not only that he would stand in front of Circle mages, but that he would wear clothing that seems to signify loyalty to a faction that is not the Inquisition.

I wonder what it means? Maybe he decided to join the Circle if they were brought into the fold? Maybe it's a compromise with a Pro-Templar Inquisitor; Sollas will be granted a boon so long as he joins the Circle like the other mages.

It doesn't seem Solas to me. The face is very different, and the ears aren't as pointed. And, mostly important, the vest is very...un-Solas like.  Is a "banal" mage vest, nothing even remotely similar to Solas's design. With the armour that have a different look on every companion, I higtly doubt a simple robe would be so..."normal" if Solas wear it.

Or maybe is a particular scene and Solas is wearing something normal? (But I'm almost sure the guy in the image is a human)

If you look at his ears you can see that they point slightly to the sides when in the other picture they don't.

I very much doubt that guy in front of the other mages is Solas; the ears are not defined enough.   Solas' ears are very clearly pointed, you can't miss them.    I'm sure he isn't the only bald headed mage in the game.      There is the possibility that you could dress Solas in your own matching designer clothes but I seem to recall that they said anything you put on characters will adapt to their body size and general style, so they still look unique.   Whereas that mage guy looks generic and pretty much the same as the others.    

 

Personally I can't see Solas surrendering his own personal look and freedom of thought just to fit in.    So even if you restore the Circles, Solas would not be part of them.  I doubt even Vivienne would be prepared to surrender her own fashion style just because the Circles had returned.

I also think the fellow in that screenshot has waaaaay too broad a lower jawline to be Solas. Solas's jawline seems to taper inward to be a little more pointy towards the chin. The screenshot dude looks like he has a fairly square jaw.

Ugh. I'm such a nervous wreck. I just submitted my first book for review with amazon publishing. I hope everything works out *fingers crossed*

 

Also, the idea of Solas in one of those professor jackets with the elbow patches...combined with the bashful baby pose..It just feels so right.
