I'm just thankful for the use of spoiler tags in this wonderful thread, I'm not sure other parts of the Forum are this safe. I'll probably remain just here, it's the best thread anyway

I'm sure this thread will be safe. Everyone here is very respectful. The Twitter thread might be safe - people are pretty intent on keeping things on track there - but the rest of the forums are anyone's guess.

I'm sure in this thread no one will amBUSH us with spoilers. Think thats the last joke I got in me for now. Random story time, I pre ordered my copy of dai back in July. But the game is not under my name for some reason, so I can't pick it up myself, despite my putting money towards it. only bad thing is being in retail the next week after release I'll limited time because black Friday.
My understanding is that we don't learn specializations from companions. So I don't think that would be necessary, no.
Oh that's good to know then! I knew that specializations were quest-related, but I had kinda assumed you had to get them from your followers w/that particular spec. (Tho now that I think about it, how would you get a spec if you didn't recruit certain people?)

Also I don't tend to go on media blackout I like spoilers but those of you that don't like spoilers...yeah it's getting pretty close to leave the forums.

I usually don't mind spoilers, I'll probably look for some while I'm playing just because I don't want to mess up completely my first run (I still remember how sad I was after Alistair broke up with me the first time I played DAO 
but it was emotional indeed to go through that, so I don't mind it now) and this time I wont have much time to play (and replay) the game, sadly.
But I don't know, I want to be able to choose what spoilers I get. I know you guys are awesome and will put everything under spoiler tag, so maybe I will stay a little longer here and in the twitter thread.

I'm in the exact same boat. I normally don't mind spoilers at all, but I've been waiting for this game for so long that looking at the heavy spoilers now (achievement list, etc.) feels a bit like spoiling Christmas at the beginning of December. I don't wanna. The twitch streams and gameplay and things are different for me, I love seeing the environments and imagining running around them in my own game, and I absolutely love the soundtrack and the new trailers. There's stuff coming out now, though, that I just don't want to see. Ugh, I'm going to have to go on blackout soon, I think. But I love this little oasis.

I can totally understand wanting to know what to do in the game so you don't mess up,I sometimes watch other people play the game before I do.Also in DAO I didn't know Alistair was going to break up with my female mage and that just boiled my blood I didn't play DAO for days but I finally got back to it and finished it. 
And yep I definitely think most people in here will put spoiler tags out when there is one.
(I have this bad feeling I will be the only one here in the next week or so lol...)

As long as I don't know the companion stories or exactly how we progress through the story, I'm fine with some spoilers. When the game comes out, I'll probably bail long enough to finish a full playthrough, though. Or try to wade in here with my eyes half covered.
But I've been thinking: what are we going to do when the game comes out? I wonder if the forum will split again. Because I'd love to see everyone's initial reactions to meeting Solas without getting the whole storyline spoiled! Thankfully we meet him REALLY early.
Yeah, I'm confident that Solas-thread goers are respectful, kind and smart enough to not post spoilers in this thread or at least to put them under warnings and spoiler threads, but just in case I'd like to respectfully request that this is how we conduct ourselves!

When I start playing I will still be around this thread..I'm sure I won't be the only one. And I plan on posting some pics of my Inquisitor and Solas and other things but I will put spoiler tags out. I think we should all show what our Inquisitors look like that would be so Awesome!
I want to add that I'm probably going to have to cook like crazy so my Hubby and I will have enough leftovers..cause I'm going to be playing this game like crazy for days!
I think I'll be leaving eventually too. I'm mostly lurking right now enough as it is, though I know this thread will be respectful. When Inquisition comes out I won't really come on here anymore so. It was nice while it lasted! We still have some time though.

But otherwise, no, Roxy, you won't be alone. I'm just sorta permanently here. I may as well start blending into the furniture at this point. Spoilers don't really bother me either way. I don't necessarily go seeking them out, but if I get slapped in the face by one, I'm not personally offended... but I do get offended that other people may see it who otherwise wanted to avoid it, so I get cranky when they aren't properly hidden/tagged.
I've been lurking and not really reading this topic for the last few weeks. Probably going to stop my forum use all together on the 18th.
It's sort of bittersweet, isn't it? The game will finally be here and we'll be happily lost in that, but the months of having fun speculating and cheering at each bit of new info will be over. There will be no more dev posts or twitters about what's going on in the development of the game. It's going to be awesome and just a bit sad at the same time.
That said, I'll still be around for at least my first playthrough. I just hope that spoilers won't get too bad in the threads I read. I've already given up on tumblr.

At this point, I don't care about major story spoilers. As I have already guessed a majority of the plot and want to see my major guesses be seen as right or wrong early on. However, I do NOT want to see anything about the companions. At all, that's what makes the game for me. SImply characters interacting.
