It was probably a stupid thing to do but I just asked John Epler if Solas is an LI in the Twitter Thread...he's hanging around the forums, i also told him I'd understand if he can't answer that question. *sigh* I was just gonna give it a try and he probably won't answer lol

I think they are gearing up to a big overall reveal of LIs and who can have them.  It was mentioned at some point that they planned to release that information prior to the game being out.  I suspect Dorian and Sera being revealed have more to do with GaymerX than anything else... perhaps the bisexuals will also be revealed soon as well, and then we can deduce who's straight through simple logic (or so one should presume).  Time will tell.

 You thought that was stupid! Just look at my comment on hedge mages...sometimes it would be nice if I wasn't on mobile. I would have had a great gif...oh well. 

It would be a super nice surprise if he answered your question though.

I'm glad you got that cleared up because I seriously was imaging him emerging from some shrubbery in order to counter something Vivienne said. Like some woodland creature. Lorax WHICH REALLY HUMORED ME, don't get me wrong, but I guess it meant something else.

With how often they say that I'm surprised the devs don't put that in their signatures. I would put it in mine but I'm not a dev so...

I liked him better when he had that cleft chin and his scar. Now he looks more generic than ever and reminds me of those aliens in the X Files/XCom.

That won't be a problem if the Inquisitor is just as interested in exploring the Fade as Solas - which is what my main Inquisitor is going to be. The question is if Bioware's writers are considering this type of character important enough to influence their decision about who's going to be an LI.

Romance is not really super-important to me, but Solas as an LI would be a very nice bonus.

I wouldn't assume he's not romanceable just because he's a loner. It's a pretty common way to develop a romance plot, honestly. lol

 

I mean, he might not be, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if "learning to get close to people" isn't a big part of Solas's arc, either as romance or friendship.

Good evening, Solas Thread! I'm not much for posting, but thought I'd step out of the shadows briefly to swell the chorus of those delighted with today's long-awaited intro. I was surreptitiously refreshing both this and the twitter feed at work today in feverish anticipation, and I love the character look and concept both (not least for the promise of new insight on the Fade-- yay!). It'll be difficult/fun picking out which characters to run with from such a compelling lineup, but today's intro confirmed the dreamy hedge mage's place for me. (Also: I've been following this thread and the previous one since they began; my compliments on keeping this a friendly, inviting space. I appreciate it even if I don't pipe up much, and I doubt I am alone in that).
