Other characters appear to hold their hands similarly in the videos, so maybe it's just a default idle pose? It does look awkward, so I hope that's not actually the case.

 

It's probably intended as polite/respectful body language. It still looks a little like he's going to call the Inquisitor "senpai" but getting his dialogue from the scene helps contextualize. Now that I'm thinking about it, it may also be intended to be non-threatening.

 

...I wish I was an artist. I have a deep need for Solas-chan and Lavellan-senpai now.

I've been so good at not watching all these tempting videos that are popping up. But seeing as I watched the other Gameplay features videos, I guess I had to watch this one

 

How freaking adorable is Solas with his "it seems you hold the key to our salvation" Aaaaieee! Not what I expected to say about a character of his age.

How good looking is the inquisitor in that video!? I'm never a fan of the default face normally. But daaayum. I am looking forward to my human male run now. He is going to own that throne.

 

Was that an elven inquisitor having a bad time with a Harlequin? Not so much fun times in Orlais for the non-humans. Can't imagine they'll be dancing round the ballroom with the nobility

Oooh it's Solas Appreciation Day today? Haha, that's wonderful!   I swear you guys, your stories.. I'm afraid my poor mushy heart won't make it to the release date if you keep going like this. Good golly that inquisitor from the choice & consequence video was a proper asshat, thank god I'm too much of a softie to make anyone leave even if I wanted to I hope.. I don't think she is the Inquisitor. This scene was an example. But if this was an Inquisitor, if they do to my Inquisitor.... they don't live to long. xD

Or if I can make her hair dark brown with pink streaks or something. (I have such an imagination xD)

 

But I think she will have a hard time choosing between Solas and Cullen
