it seems like we have a lot to thank him for in the prologue. Basically Solas saved the day before the Inquisitor! The mark might have just killed them otherwise and then there'd be nobody to close the breach. You go, Solas! Let's just hope we don't find out that he's up to something.

As long as he's doing all this out of scientific curiosity (and self-preservation) I'm less likely to believe that he's setting us up as a pawn in some diabolical plan.

From what I saw he was sweet but probably because Angry Joe's quizzy was nice most of the time.

I have some things to say about that spoiler video! But I'm going to keep it under a spoiler tag.

Oh nooo... oh noooo he watches us while we sleep. Ohhhh noooooooooo! (I was afraid that was going to be cannon cause... it's a bit creepy to anyone not interested in romancing him, to be honest.)
I mean- at least he's just matter-of-fact about it. I'm surprised none of the other companions comment on that more, but maybe they did and the dialogue was just skipped over.

I- still- is his nickname really Chuckles? Really? I was thinking it could have been the Inquisitor or- Cassandra since she looks so upset at him. (Unless he gave her a nickname in DA2 and I just forgot it other than Seeker) I guess this probably has something to do with the dialogue that was skipped over earlier. But still- Chuckles... hm... well, it's better than Baldie, that's for sure.

He was only watching you to make sure the mark didn't consume/kill you while you were out for a while. Apparently he stabilizes it. It's not like he was doing it because he likes watching people sleep haha.  Varric was the one that brought it up so I assume he and Cassandra approved of him making sure the prime suspect didn't burn away in their sleep.

Just de-lurking for a bit to say I'm loving the new screens, and a huge thank you for posting them for those of us determined not to watch the videos. I've had a pretty rough week myself between work stress, being sick, and some relationship issues... looking forward to this game and its characters (especially Solas - I just love him more with every image!), and reading this thread in particular, has made things just a bit easier to bear

It is indeed the nickname Varric gives a sarcastic/charming Hawke in DA2, according to the wiki. (I was always Diplomatic so wouldn't know.) If that really is what he calls Solas...come on, Varric, you can do better than that. XD Surely Solas deserves his own unique nickname?

Haha I know, I was a bit confused there, but aside from that the voice acting, expressions, and gestures the characters make are just amazing! xD (The inquisitor can be quite handsome as well). Even the landscape details...*^*
