What parties are you guys planning to try? I tend to run the same party for each run, unless there's a specific character I need to bring to finish a quest, and all this is making me convinced I need to bring Solas/Varric/Cass with me the first time. Because holy **** they seem like team snarky wit with a side helping of adorable.

As for companions...

 

I'm going to go with... whatever....

for my first iron bull for sure, the rest I'm like. well. I have iron bull... sooo what ever sways the wiiiiiiiiiinnd

 

... probably not solas. I just don't wanna spoil myself OK. He's my Second playthrough. I planned my first girl since the end of DA2 XD

 

but holy gob I'm going to spam the living hell out of it on my elf.

Personally if they were to have something like Isabella and Fenris, I'd fangirl so hard my heart might stop - even though Solas has currently edged Cullen out as my currently preferred LI.

Well, guys, i don't know about you, but my main party plans are for Solas/Cole/Cassandra (the banter is going to be glorious and deep and I love how Solas interacts with both of them). And I may or may not be inclined to bring Sera along sometimes to see how Solas shuts her down when or if she decides to talk trash about precious spirit boy aka Cole.
Also, IB and Solas banter is something I'm totally down for

Well, we don't know if he only likes elves, or if there are mitigating factors that prevent him from being able to romance someone who is not an elf. So while that would take Solas/Cass off the table (which is kinda sad, because I love male mage/female warrior pairings), it doesn't preclude him from being attracted to her, or even a non-elven Inquisitor. 

 

I kind of want to see if they let non-elven Inquisitors flirt with him, and how that goes down (if it's Aveline levels of obliviousness, or if he's really curt about it).

That was me. Unfortunately, I had simply modified the look of my elf pawn, Chase, strictly for those pictures. You are still more than welcome to rent my pawn, and once I can wrangle the TV back from my husband, I'll give Chase the "Solas make-over" again.

Its going to be very hard for me to pick a party because I'm loving most of what I've seen so far.  For my first PT Solas is a given, and I'm leaning toward Blackwall and Cole because of how little I've seen (and cole is just so adorable).... But really I just want to take them all with me

I think there are going to be occasions when we have no choice but have to take certain characters with us.   As my first Inquisitor is going to be a mage, that really rules out Dorian and Vivienne much of the time as I will be keeping Solas with me as much as possible.   On the whole I think my rogue will be either Cole or Varric as I have the feeling that Sera's voice is going to annoy me.    Where I'm pretty sure we're going to be in more enclosed areas, I'll probably stick with Cole but there may be times when it is better to have a ranged weapon expert on hand.     As for my tank, I'll probably go with Cassandra because apparently she is capable of intelligent and respectful debate with Solas and Cole, which will make a change from the constant confrontational approach of Anders and Fenris.   Failing that I'll probably go with Blackwall because he is likely to be the Champion and I think I'll probably find he shares my approach to things.   I'm really not a huge Iron Bull fan at present but may be when I get to know him my opinion will change.    However, I'll probably give everyone a bit of time in my party simply so I can find out how well different fighting styles and specs work so I can plan my next Inquisitor accordingly.

 

This is my last weekend on the boards because of that early release towards the end of next week, whilst I have to wait around until the 21st and I don't want to risk finding out too much before then.   So best wishes to all my fellow Solassians and hope you have a great time with the lovely elf.   I'll be back I suspect sometime mid December, depending on how fast I progress with just a couple of hours each evening and weekends.
