Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I don't plan on romancing Solas but he is probably one of the few characters I'm most interested in. I think he'll be bros with my inquisitor. :>

I definitely agree that Solas is one of the most interesting of our companions, and the more we hear about him, the more convinced I am he's not what he seems. Though i will romance him for my first playthrough, I'm looking forward to his dynamic with my second playthrough friend-zoned human Inquisitor just as much.

 

And...

 

9 days... 9 DAYS!!!!111 afghgkjk.... So CLOSE BUT SO FAR...

 

I've been trying to tie up some freelance work so I have as much spare time as possible after release, so that's kept me fairly busy. I've also been playing Skyrim - it took me a bit to get into but then somehow I managed to put in a hundred hours while barely touching the main quest. It's a bit ridiculous... I mean, the game's not even that good... just stupidly addicting It's been a great distraction and has made me really appreciate the fun of exploration in a game, but it's also making me want to explore Thedas that much more. Soon, my preciousness... SOON.

This final week sure is taking its sweet time passing by. I'm just playing some MMO's to kill the time but even that's not enough to contain my excitement akdhsfjs

Wow, so I'm at my friends house for a day and now is almost confirmed that Solas has somehow devilish/ulterior motives? Seems that all the important bits of information happen to be revelead when I'm not around lol. Still, I think It's just another reason for him to be my 1st romance playthrough.

   And, also, I expect that if a "betrayal" or something like that were to happen the romance will make it all the more dramatic. And I'm all up for that.

...is it weird if I say that, I don't find any satisfaction in playing The Last Court? :s

My hunger from DA:I is so great. This really can't feed it till it comes out! And I need to wait till 21!

I thought while playing it: damn this is boring and confusing sometimes and I just gave up lol. It is not bad. I am just so so focused on DA:I. The Last Court will be good when I finish DA:I, starting other playtru and wait for DA4 . But now..ugh it just doesn't help. My mind and heart is with DA:I. Waited so long for this like rest of you guys!

 

I set myself some challenges for this game. For the first time, I am planning to play this on nightmare setting ( just because dat Duncan card lol) and was thinking: might toggle off running/not using horse and walk trough the whole game . Toggle off quest markers aswell etc etc...Oh yes and not run from the dragon when I see one.

 

Anyway back to Solas. Whatever happens it happens. If all bioware games did not kill me, then they made me stronger xD haha. My heart is ironed and prepared for any outcome in the game but, I would like that we don't loose control of things too much and that betrayals can be avoided and some unpleasant scenes (swooping, hungry dragons etc...)

When you guys start with Solas and betrayal, this pic always comes to my mind ...I really like him there...and I really haven't seen it posted for a long time here .

So long as it isn't blindingly obvious what he's doing, I'm okay with the betrayal not being avoidable if it happens. My biggest issue with Anders wasn't the fact that he blew up the chantry, it was the fact that he actively made it known he was acquiring explosive materials in his fetch question and we couldn't sit him down and go 'wtf man'. Mind you, by actively, I mean using ingredients most people who've just watched movies - let alone understand the make up of a simple bomb - would know right off the bat as being volatile. Since Solas is apparently the smart one, I would hope he's a bit more sneaky than that. Though to Ander's defense he was essentially on the verge of a break down and not thinking clearly at all, I just wish that because they made it so slap in the face obvious that we could have stopped him. Or had the option to just try.

I LOVE John Wayne. Have you watched The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance yet? So many feels. A little cheesy, but so what.
I like most westerns, but my heart will always belong to Leone, Leone, Leone.

I personally think they'll make jabs at each other. Solas might not like how reckless she can be and how she goes ahead and does what her people think is right rather than what she thinks is right. Or he might think she's not serious enough, and she'll think he's too serious. All I know is PW said it is definitely worth seeing.

I think he'll find her reckless and selfish (with her 'the world is my playground' attitude), and and she'll probably see him as a boring and lame And then there's their, um, differing views in Cole and the Fade and such. I see the potential for some fantastic banter, myself. Especially since they both have senses if humor, different as they are. Should be fun
Also, I don't really see Solas as the hitting on girls type, and I imagine Sera will make no secret of her preferences either way.

I foresee my elven mage trying to braid flowers into Cassandra's hair while she and Solas banter with one another. Mind you, not much hair to work with... But she'll make it work!

I've decided to go dark for the next nine days, so that my son will get some good loving attention from me before the magic day arrives when I disappear into gameland. I'll see you all again after my first playthrough.

I just added to my John Wayne movie collection: Rio Bravo, El Dorado, and McLintock...even though I have that movie I can't find it so I just ordered another.

I love westerns too even when it's got Clint Eastwood in them! XD
