I'm actually not wild about Sumalee's performance. She sounded very uneven imo.
Idk I just think her voice is deeper/more commanding perhaps, and It's nice to have two voices to switch between playthroughs (If I'm indeed beating the games six times like I intend I'm planning on having half of my inquisitor use Sumalee's voice and the other half use Alix').
Still, I do believe I'm sticking to the "british=elf and humans and american= dwarfs and qunari". Maybe lol.
I'm impressed by all the voices, so far but I think I'll be going with Alix first just because I think it will fit my Quizzys age range and personality.

So I don't often post in the Solas thread, but let me tell you that I'm starting to think that Solas might be my true BFF in this game. As a wry academic myself, I feel like this guy is the closest to my own personality from what we've seen. I kind of love him. I've just started replaying New Vegas to kill the time until DA: I releases and I've fallen back in love with Arcade and I'm seeing some similarities between him and Solas. And I'm loving every second of it.
I'm going to go dark until I get the game, and probably stay there for several days after so I'm not tempted to spoil the hell out of everyone here. *salutes* Fight the good fight everyone, it's been a pleasure hanging out with you!

Anywho, Solas will be my magical partner in crime for my Lugh Adaar! My male Qunari mage truly revels in magic and its mysteries, and so tries to share that passion with Solas.
I think people had the assumption before we got to know him that he'd be a bit evidently socially awkward and all, but he's actually pretty confident and suave.
I definitely need some more suave Solas fanfictions....please....maker....

Ugh, is it the 18th yet?
I haven't seen anything I'd call "suave" but he's definitely sure of himself both socially and intellectually. I was maybe expecting him to be tactless, blunt but not shy. He may still turn out to be tactless or blunt but I suspect if he is it will be because he doesn't care and not because he doesn't know how to deal with people. He's perfectly capable of being polite when he wants to be.
I can not stop laughing. Seriously,
I don't like the Inquisitor voices. 
The deep woman voice is good, but not for my characters. what I planned. And don't like the other one. The men voices.... same. xD Dx I don't forget this is the Solas topic: I don't like his voice *pls don't kill me*, I imagine him a much deeper voice (What can I say? I love deep voices. 
). But I can live with that, after I hear it 3-4 times. xD
I actually love his voice and to me it's deep enough. So calm and comforting...
I didn't watch the full stream, I left out the moment when we first see him and heard just a few sentences that didn't spoil much for me.
So whatever I'm saying now is not linked to anything I heard him say.
About his hidden agenda: I find it hard to believe he learned so much on his own, being just a 'hedge mage'. He's very intelligent, yes, so he could learn a lot by himself, but maybe he's not entirely honest about who he really is. (although I base this only on a character interview with PW from a few months ago).
It's hard not to believe him, because he's so adorable and sweet, one smile and he won my heart. (Damn you Solas, don't be so cute and stop moving your head like that)
Did anyone else notice how he's moving his head to the sides, whenever he listens to someone or talks? It's super cute 
About Inquisitor voices: I like Alix' voice (despite it sounding too much like Samantha Traynor) but Sumalee.. .I don't know, she's talking too slowly, there are no emotions. I don't want to sound mean, but I hated her voice acting so far. Hopefully it gets better later.

After watching the beginning, I'm a bit more positive about Sumalee's voice, but still not in love with it. I think the problem is that it feels out of place when everyone else is so emotive. She sounds really flat. Also I don't think she pulls off the clever responses all that well. But we shall see.
But Solas was absolutely adorable. It's odd, I didn't think he'd be so...energetic? But he's really upbeat and friendly. And quite sure of himself as well. I wouldn't call it "suave", but he's noticeably confident in himself and his knowledge.
I really cant decide between Sumalee or Alix from all weve seen and the streams.
Sumalee seems more deadpan and direct, did anyone see the "Whats going on here?" scene. Where as Alix is more energetic and swave
I think since in my canon I will role a Fem Qunari Mage she will have Alix's voice because shes mystical and grew up around the north and heard a lot of orlesian accents.
After properly hearing Sumalee in action, I'm not sure I will roll my Dalish!Quizzy with her. The voice is just...not quite there. Think I need to listen to Alix again.
