Anyone else who saw Solas at the Varric trailer? During mark 0:25

I didn't see him until you mentioned him. I had to watch it on my computer instead of my phone to actually see him, but that is definitely him. Elven, Fur, Fingerless Gloves, Bald. Definitely him 

 

He's so cute sitting in the corner at a table by himself   That may or may not be exactly what I would do at a tavern.....   He's perfect.   

Now I keep rewatching it to see the little snippit of him...this is sad.

Me too, I really want to see him in the pretty CGI -- not that its a huge step away from the pretty Frostbite, mind you, but it would still be awesome to see him in CG -- though I suppose they covered where he was with Varric's video *sigh*

Yeahhhhh, I think it actually IS time for me to go on blackout.  I combed through the non-spoilery reviews today and am perfectly satisfied that this is going to be amazing. So happy for everyone at BioWare, sounds like they poured their hearts and souls into this and it shows.  Not like we had any doubts around here, but it's great to see them get that recognition. 

 

I'm like halfway through Asunder right now and enjoying it...I consider it important prep work for Inquisition! Longest. week. ever. May your elves be badass and your romancing be mighty! *hugs* to my Solassians, and I'll see you on the other side!

Bah! I am avoiding spoilers (though jeebus knows why??, considering I was a Thanemancer ), but the little I have gathered from the posts...I would say it isn't terribly worrisome. (coldi says, while chewing on a hangnail ).

Here are two things that give me some peace. For now. Until next week.

1) We have seen in-game play, that shows Solas getting approval, while Cass (or other more "good" companions) do as well.

2) We are repeatedly hinted at his "grey" tendencies. Meaning no mustache twirling eveels!

Fen'harel is said to not be fond of Elven. Soooooo....why exactly would he want to get "down" with only an elven lady??

Granted, I don't think Solas is Fen'harel, so I suppose this doesn't matter. But, it then brings up a question: could the Dalish have gotten it wrong. Perhaps Fen'harel really DID see that the only way to give the Dalish freedom from both sides - the Creators and the Forgotten Ones - was to do what he did. What if it was actually a kindness? The only way for the Dalish to be free from any kind of "overlords".

OR...maybe all of it is just simply wrong. Full stop. And Solas simply knows, or sees the truth of things. Harsh or otherwise.

Heh. I feel ya. I also decided to totally avoid spoilers. (I don't even normally venture up here, I know next to nothing about any of the characters aside from the returning ones.) I watched a stream or two, thought, hey, this Solas fella's kind of interesting, and that was that.

Then on a whim I watched the IGN review video, picked at random from a list.

Oh, sure, there's a chance it *may not* be a spoiler, but knowing me and my "hey, I like this character" track record, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't avoidable.
