Alright, just to shift the conversation away from spoilers, what songs do you associate with Solas? I always end up making a character-specific playlist for all of the companions in Bioware games.

 

I remember a while back when PW referenced the "Once" soundtrack when writing a character. So I looked it up and fell in love with the song "Falling Slowly". It's a gorgeous duet between a man and a woman. The male singer even has an accent that sounds a bit like Solas's.

 

 

And this one I first heard ages ago, but after PW's interview about Solas I realized that it's basically his theme song. And the singer also has an accent (Irish, not welsh, but it sounds a bit similar).

After curiosity got the better of me and I went to investigate that Leliana/Redcliffe spoiler.. Yeah, definitely time for my media blackout now.

 

 

 

So toodle-pip my fellow Solassians It's been an honour to ride the hype train with you all. I'll catch you at the destination, armed with screenshots (because I will be getting all the use out of that PS4 feature). 

 

Here's hoping we won't have to turn this into an emotional support group after   the only tears I want to be shedding are tears of joy. Y'hear that Bioware? JOY.

 

It's going to be so weird to actually get this game. I've never joined in the pre-launch hype before. It's all starting to feel like some crazy dream.

I called this for quite sometime. Though, to be fair, I said it was either going to be Cole or Solas, because both are in the position of Judas the traitor in the Last Supper picture that was released awhile back of the Inquisition.

Think I'll go on my media blackout. I really don't want to get spoiled more than I have. It's been lovely, Solas thread. Maybe I'll come back after the game ends for fangirling and excitement. He did just mention having personalized playlists for each of the followers. I wonder if he'd be willing to share them. Falling Slowly is now in my usual playlist thanks to that. It's such a feeling song.

He said on twitter that he'd like to do a blog post about it! I hope that he does. I'd love to see what sort of music he associates with his characters.

I'd still like to see a vallaslin blog post. But at this point I'll just go with whichever one looks the best on my character. Some of them can be easily interpreted, but others are going to be a best guess, I suppose.

 

It's too bad they changed so much from Origins, but I do like these too. I'd wonder if the clans have their own way of interpreting the tattoos and that can account for the difference, but since all the elves are going to have this version of them that's probably not the case.
