instead of the "let's bang" sorts of flirts is what I want. Hopefully we get more along those lines.

I've seen some flirts I really didn't like (not with Solas though) but I'm sure we can skip some.

Yeah, it was mostly only the ones with Solas that I've liked so far. 

 

A lot of the others were like, "So are you single?" or "So, do you see us getting together in the future?" and this was in just about the first camp conversation.

 

The Cass ones were cute though I thought, if only because she's grumpy. And one with Blackwall didn't seem like a flirt at all. The Iron Bull ones made me laugh.

I hate "lets bang" flirts. I found Hawke really bad for that especially when you're playing a diplomatic Hawke as the flirts were were so out of character. Although they kinda worked for a sarcastic Hawke. I really want subtle flirts for Solas so that it will feel more like friends to lovers instead of "lets bang" wink wink.

Yeah, I'm completely in favour of subtle flirts. The more aggressive ones aren't really my style, and you only ever seem to be able to flirt aggressively in bioware games. I'm a fan of wordplay, not "how you doin'?"

I didn't know you could flirt with Vivienne. That could make some interesting role playing opportunities if you can flirt with people but can't romance them.

A male can flirt with Cullen, Vivienne, and Sera from what I've seen. Females can flirt with Cassandra. The Sera flirt was pretty bad, and she shuts him down hard.

Yeah, I really like they included that. Our characters aren't psychic - of course they should be able to express interest in someone whose availability is unknown.

I've seen the male flirting with Cullen (I thought Cullen's reaction was adorable)  I just assumed that everyone could flirt with the LI's even if you weren't the correct race/gender but you couldn't flirt with the companions who weren't love interests. I wonder how many non-companions you can flirt with as well because if you can flirt with Scout Harding I will definitely be taking that dialogue option  .

I also like that this means that I can basically RP Zevran and outrageously flirt with everyone in order to pass the time. Because people flirt even if they don't think it's going to go anywhere. It's fun.

 

I mean, I'm not a fan of nothing but outrageous flirts *looks at Hawke*, so that's why I really appreciate that Solas's are more subtle. Besides, he hasn't been around people very much. Don't wanna scare the poor boy off.

That's what I really want to try and avoid. Sure, you don't have to take the first flirt option you see in your initial camp conversation, but then you won't know if you're blowing your opportunity to romance them in the future if you just want to get to know them first. I suppose some would, if they are playing a cheeky character with a flirty personality, but...

 

Friends-to-lovers would be awesome though. I wonder if any of the romances deliver in that regard.

I think Bull will be the only companion I'll be comfortable being a pervy-flirt towards because of his nature, so I'm glad to hear Solas flirts are nice and subtle and non-creepy so far. DA2 flirts were just... egggh.   I always clicked them anyway because I didn't want to miss the romance, but they were sooo bad for being so early on.

Right?! And the timing was the worst. Your first flirt with Anders is right after Karl's death. That felt...supremely creepy. And it was only slightly less creepy for Fenris, who was homeless and just getting his bearings in Kirkwall. Haven't romanced Isabela or Merrill, though.

 

I like the timing of Solas's though. He's just chatting to you about his work and the Fade, and every so often you can tease him a bit.

Even though I liked most of them, especially for my purple Hawkes, I skipped some flirts in DA2, like the Anders one when he's just done talking about his dead ex-lover. Just no, Hawke.

Isabela's aren't bad, but that's not because they are less intense, but because Isabela invites them openly so it never ends up being random or sudden or creepy. XD It fits right in. I'm not sure about Merrill, but I really hope hers aren't as bad as Anders or Fenris, she's too sweet to have to deal with that! ahaha.

I'm sure we'll be able to, and knowing him he'll play right back even though he's not interested. xD It will be fun.

I really like what i've heard so far from you guys about Solas' flirts though, so hopefully it is as good as it sounds.
