He's an apostate hedgemage, according to the devs. Rather his own class, I suppose.

 

We could try asking what country his original town was in?

 

I think Patrick will take a shot at my skull if I ask anymore random questions on twitter today, I stumbled onto the Irish band, Solas and tweeted a link to them live asking if Solas would like Solas earlier....he has not responded. So, I think someone else should ask about Solas country of origin, if anyone is going to...

As long as he didn't use the Fade to stalk our inq...No more stalky elves...of course, that chic(I can't recall her name atm) was made by Obsidian, not BioWare.

I wouldn't mind at all - IF we were in a romance with him - if there was a scene where we found him visiting us in our dreams.  But otherwise it would be a bit creepy if we weren't on an intimate level before that.

Won't lie the idea of Solas liking Celtic,music makes him even more appealing to me.

Ah, okay, I never had her in my party so I don't remember much about her.  There's quite a few stalker-ish elves in video games that come to mind, though, now that you mention it... (cough)

I agree. It just seems to me he'd prefer being called a mage rather than an elf. Like he'd even wear the title of a hedgemage with pride.

It's always a possibility, my favourite pet theory, especially after finding out he was born in a town. Is that he was named Solas, because he was his family's "Pride and Joy" so to speak.

Personally,I'd this is one of my favourite theories about Solas(aside from the "ancient elf" one).Who knows he might have even contributed to the fact that the Inquisitor made it out of the fade alive.It would be such a plot-twist,everyone expects the first companion we meet in the game is Cassandra,but it turns out to be Solas.

Great words to describe Solas, I'm liking him more and more *_*. We should add this in the thread's first post

I really love how people are suddenly finding Solas interesting. It's true there wasn't much info to go on before, but he was largely dismissed for the bald and long johns. Now? It seems to be a lot of, "Eh he's not pretty but he sounds cool." It's awesome. I'll laugh if he turns out to be the best loved character of the game. It will be a happy laugh, but a laugh nonetheless.

 

I predicted this back when his first screenshots came out and he was met with a chorus of "EW! BALD!" Our little hedgemage is is going to prove all the haters wrong. *nods sagely* 

 

And what gets me wondering is where does the Scotch Bonnet candies fit with him now cause I just can't see it?

 

I mean the sweet yeah that fits him the heat, spicy? Maybe it's the dry humor idk. 

 

Maybe it was "kind of weird, definitely an acquired taste." Patrick did say that some of his conversations would be met with "Wait, what?!" from various companions.

living isolated from civilization, a "walk" in the fade at the wrong moment can be the way Solas find out about the tears and the person that can close it. It would be a cute thing.
