Well, I just arrived in Skyhold, and I'm loving the recent romantic developments with Solas... I'm so excited to see where it leads! (I've spoiled myself on a lot of things, but nothing about Solas, so I'm interested to see where his story goes!). I also can't wait until everyone has played through his romance, so we can talk more about it!

I have always loved The Dread Wolf and I even made my elven Warden more or less a follower of The Dread Wolf with Solas being the Dread Wolf, I'm in heaven....

I'm.. getting.. there.. slowly fml at this moment with work and school..also my pc can't handle the game on low it can't handle the awesome >_> and at this rate I just might buy it for xbox 360 eh. I won't give up yet.

The Masked Empire is very good, arguably the best of the DA novels. It's also an excellent set up for DAI.

 

Anyway, I am completely in love with Solas and his bone-dry wit. I could listen to him subtly mock other companions all day long, although I really need to start moving the plot along. I've been lollygagging in the Hinterlands for hours and hours because it's so much fun to just explore! Oh, well. Onward and upward to romance, I suppose. Here's my Lavellan, Seth. Her mouth does terrible things sometimes, but I think she's cute:

They took the money out of my Paypal yesterday, and sent the shipping invoice and tracking number to my email today. Seems they're using a company called 'Nightline Group' (nightline-delivers.com) to send mine. If they've taken money out of your account, you should be getting an email (or three) soonish. =)

All of these Inquisitors are beautiful!

I can't tell if my Lavellan is or not because of the horrid 360 graphics XD. Anyway I can already tell that this pt is going to take forever. There is so much to do and explore, and so many npcs to talk to-four hours in and I am still at the initial camp exploring.

On Solas: I love that you can flirt right away and how sassy the conversation is. I expected him to be more shy initially. Also, the huge Solas spoiler

nvm, i got ANOTHER email with the tracking number on it and the nightline delivery stuff! Gamestop sent me a couple of variations of this. i think my copy is in a depot in dublin

most of their party banter is her inquiring to him about his opinion on his views of magic, templar abilities, and most recently belief in the maker, he gives rather unbias answers to which she is surprised especially when the maker came up and he implied though not warmly or faithfully (as in not unquestionable faith) his belief that the Maker could be real or is real. Cassandra's shock at this struck me as gleeful, like she was surrounded by unbelievers and thought herself the only one. If she weren't boss in a fight i'd kick her off the party in favor of someone else. lol

There are videos of the ending on youtube and have been since yesterday. It's an after credits scene it happens in though so make sure you stick around post-credits if you wanna see it like with a Marvel movie lol.

Solas is the Dread Wolf and Flemeth is Mythal.

 

At the end of the game, Solas disappears from the party. Before that, he is seen taking a look at Corypheus' broken orb. The very broken orb that was used to cause all the chaos. 

 

In the post-credits scene, Solas is shown to meet Flemeth in front of a large working Eluvian.

 

They greet each other as long lost old friends, she calls him the Dread Wolf, it becomes apparent that Solas gave the orb to Corypheus to do what he did in game (albeit unintentionally).

 

Apparently the Dread Wolf awoke from his long slumber, was weak and so was unable to use his full powers via the orb. So he unintentionally gave it to Corypheus to activate it...but Corypheus then misused it to his own ends...

 

Flemeth then apologizes to the Dread Wolf. Solas then says that The People, most likely referring to the Elves, need him. 

 

Solas then appears to absorb Flemeth's life force away and the post credits scene shows Solas with his eyes shining with newfound power.

 

So those who romance Solas can say they have f***ed a God.

Even though you have the option to initiate romance, it sounds like he is the one that starts flirting. Just....they way he talks and..in a flirty way? UNF! He declared my girl as graceful and my Inquisitor sounded like she enjoyed what he had to say.

I literally just spent 7 hours playing the game and I'm STILL in the friggin' Hinterlands. These maps are ginormous. Had to stop cause my eyes hurt and it's 6 AM here lol...

The Dread Wolf?! Ohhh, this stuff is my catnip.  Cullen was tempting me, I have to admit (guhhhh I can't help it, he pushes just as many of my buttons as Solas does), but the Solasmance is ON now! I wish I could change the hashtag in my signature to a spoilery one, the ones you all are coming up with are gold.

 

Honestly loving how smooth Solas is. Not shy or awkward at all.  Also, is it just me, or is there something a bit Benedict Cumberbatch-ish about his looks in game? I keep thinking that, anyway. 

 

Anyway, everyone's Quizzies are beautiful! I love seeing what you all are doing!  Here's my Maia, and apologies for the crappy iPhone pics. I'm on PS4 and I don't know how else to show her off.

 

 

 

I totally gave her purple eyes. Don't judge. And it looks like a lot of us used the same hair! 

 

Headed back to the Hinterlands this morning.  I now estimate that this playthrough will take me roughly a billion hours to complete. I have to look at all the things, grab all the things, find all the fetch quests, and get myself into fights I shouldn't be in because I'm still learning how to deal with not having a dedicated healer and am currently bad at potion management. Poor Varric. When I get in trouble he's my revival and/or "last man standing so run awaaaaayyyy" guy. I'm surprised he's still speaking to me after the end of the prologue. I'm getting the hang of it, though. Also, I still love Cass. We're gonna be buds.

 

I'm overtired and my eyes hurt and I'm in horrible old sweats today. I haven't gotten myself into this sort of state over a game since Origins, and IT IS GLORIOUS. In Haven, I climbed to the top of a hill and just stood there looking out over the town and the mountains...and I knew I was in love.

The spoiler group has been coming up with some great YouTube videos for wolf-related songs, though. My personal fave is "Little Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs and "Hungry Like The Wolf" by Duran Duran.

 

Yeah, my playthrough is gonna take the rest of my life. Have to collect All The Things.

 

Also, PS4 is super easy to take screenshots. To the left of that center pad thingie is a "Share" button on the controller. Click that to open up share options (I changed it so that just clicking it once takes a screenshot and holding it down opens the share options menu). You can then select a screenshot and log into your Twitter or Facebook account to share it. Or message it to a friend on PS4. There's surely an option to save to a USB drive to transfer to a computer if you don't have Twitter/Facebook, but I haven't messed around that far yet.
