I'm doing a Solas, Blackwall and Cole team right now and....I didn't want to say this but, I'm not liking Blackwall that much. Solas and Cole ends up being Team Just Like You. First it was Solas questioning Bull about spirits/demons "Yes. Just like the Qun do this and that."..now it's Cole being told by Blackwall that he is dangerous and him going "Yes. Just like you."

 

Edit: I just got a real good Blackwall/Solas conversation that made me laugh. Thought I'd share. This is me paraphrasing it, btw.
 

 

Blackwall: So, Sera and I were wondering if you could answer a question.

 

Solas: Sera is involved so this is likely offensive.

 

Blackwall: Yeah. Probably. Sorry.

 

                 So you say you make friends in the fade. Do you ever have more than just friends...?

         

                If you know what I mean.

 

Solas: Oh word. Seriously?!

 

Blackwall: It's just curiosity. It's a perfectly normal question.

I just watched the last Solas romance scene and I am laughing my ass off !

 

I am pro-Elven because I like the Theodosian elves but I was never pro-Dalish. After watching that scene with Solas I am so glad that I am pro-Elven or for The People but no pro-Dalish. 

 

I just want to see the look on the pro-Dalish after they hear that bombshell of a revelation..well two bombshell revelations...I am going to wait  for Lobsel and Xil to burst into righteous anger...

One bombshell comes from Solas and that is Vallaslin is the marking of slaves. Since we know Elven gods to be powerful beings as opposed to actual gods, that would mean that a specific Vallaslin is the marking of a slave in service to a particular powerful being regarded as Elven god.

 

The second bombshell comes from Abelas who said that it was not Tevinter who destroyed Elvhenan or Arlathan. Which then implies that Elvhenan or Arlathan must have been destroyed by the Elven slaves who now call themselves Dalish Elves, most probably with the help of ancient Tevinter.

 

Hahahahahaha....! This is why you should never be pro-any group. Pro-people, sure, but pro-group ? It never ends well.

Woah woah woah… these spoilers about Solas are making me reconsider always choosing him for my party… he doesn't seem like the Dreadwolf yet, but that's too messed up. I might switch to having Dorian as my party mage instead after I unlock him. I'll see how I feel later.

I put Sera and Solas together for the first time. He tries to speak elven at her and he says elves usually get something out of the rhythm of the language even if they don't understand it... and she blows a raspberry and tells him to use real words.

 

And Blackwall asking Solas if he's ever done it with a spirit was pretty funny. Solas called him an ass. It reminded me of Oghren asking Morrigan if she's ever done it with an animal while shapeshifted.

Hello again everyone... So I've only been skimming the thread - I'm taking my time through the main story (I'm still in Haven ) and don't want to get spoiled accidentally. But I did want to show off my Inquisitor, Juno. Got a great one of her and Solas too    (spoilered for size):

I finally picked up most of the companions, and have been loving Solas's banters with everyone. Running around with him, Dorain, and Blackwall now... (mentions of banter, spoiler tagged just in case you're not far in the game and would rather hear them fresh)

I love the dynamic between him and Blackwall. That convo about Solas's possible, um, relations with Fade spirits cracked me up. And then him and Dorian, where Dorian calls Solas unassuming or something, and Solas is all 'What's that? i can't hear you over your outfit.'   Dorian rocks though. Definitely up there with Solas as a favorite.

Well, I also heard some spoilers about him being possibly involved in the cause of Corypheus obtaining more power, but I'll give him a chance. Maybe the Dalish legends are lies and Fen'Harel isn't so evil and set against kindness, I'll have to wait and see how I feel later on. In any case, I just recently met Dorian in-game & he seems pretty awesome, so I might want to try having him in my party for a bit, anyways.

Okay Solas thread. Can I just say that, nearly 9 months after I decided I was a Solas fan based on almost nothing, he's STILL my favorite character? By a long shot too!  I chose well when I decided to hop aboard the bald elf train and I have no regrets.

 

Even knowing certain things, I'm still not disappointed! I had my doubts and maybe I'm speaking too soon but I love him and he never leaves my party and probably never will.

Ah, same! I was interested in Solas right away and I am soooo happy that I ended up loving him so much in the game. He's definitely my favourite companion and I catch myself wistfully sighing a little when I'm playing other Inquisitors because he doesn't get along with them as well as he did my Lavellan, haha. He was a permanent member of her party from the very beginning and I am so glad he was added as a love interest.

Ok here is my Lavellan! I shamelessly did a self insert (I am absolutely amazed with what the CC can do) so Rita Lavellan is a 26 year old diplomatic rogue with a bit of a snarky side. I'm going to make some Lavellan's who are not self inserts but I couldn't resist with Solas; bar none he is my favorite Bioware character and romance ever.

I believe it's implied but never showed, but don't worry I feel your pain. Although I don't know for sure because I'm not that far in the game yet, it was something that I really would have liked to see.

You have the option to pick an option in his last romance scene that leads to the Inquisitor implying future (?) intimate moments, to which Solas replies getting her into bed would be an enjoyable side benefit. But that's all.

I've yet to romance a character who actually gets a decent scene, so I don't know what I'm missing    My ME love interest was Garrus, who would be impossible to animate in a sex scene.  And I much preferred DA2's implied sex to DA:O's weird underpants humping.  As long as Solas still gets the same quality and roughly the same amount of overall romance content, I'm happy.

He leaves no matter what. I kind of rushed through the game because I got caught up in things and then I realized that, for the hours and hours of content left, I wouldn't be able to have Solas in my party ever again. ...so I loaded up a save from before the end and I've been using that in order to have more time with him. e_e I'll finish the game again when DLC comes out, I guess, but I really don't want to not have him in my party with that Inquisitor.

Well, about 30 hours in. Though I did spoil myself with the end romance scene....Wish I hadn't in one way to get the raw effect, but also glad in another.......Definitely one of the best romances written, even if it is sadly short.

It broke my heart though him leaving, I'm in shock after watching the video, I can't go back to playing for awhile. xD. Makes me not even want to think about the other romances. Definately a favourite. Bring on the fanfiction, and for the love of god Bioware, please A DLC needs to happen for him and my inquizzy. Well done Weekes. Fangirl tears everywhere.


Also, may explain in a way, why they never got around to the whole dalish marking meanings...Or they did, but not what we expected....
