Oh lord I just saw the last romance scene (at least I think it's the last)...

HOW COULD BIOWARE DO THIS TO ME? My tattoos are slave markings? I got Solas to remove them but I kind of regret it now. Is there really no closure with the romance after that? If there isn't I think we should make it pretty vocal to Bioware that we would like Solas DLC if they aren't already considering it, they might respond if there's enough demand. Also, dat butt grab, nice Solas, nice.

Sera will also start questioning him about you two being a thing and gets in a huff when Solas states its not her business. You can join in and team up with Solas on her haha.

 

It would be nice if we had more companion content though. The final conversations prior to the epliogue seemed so.. weird. Aside from Leliana nobody made any comment about Solas being missing. I actually had to re-write this for how it would be for my character in some therapeutic writing.

 

On the note of sad romances, I've also been dumped in all 3 dragon age games on my first playthroughs rofl.

Origins I romanced Alistair as a mage and didn't harden his personality during the Goldana bit, so when I put him on the throne he dumped me.

DA2 I romanced Fenris, and while it was a temporary breakup it still lasted for a couple years in game time xD

and now in inquisition out of all the romances I had to pick the sad one.

 

If I wasn't engaged I would swear Bioware was telling me to give up and become a cat lady. </3

I believe I have learned a valuable lesson after three Dragon Age games now. Unless you really want relationship drama x1,000, DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT romance the first mage you get in your party.

RIght, so now I've calmed that from witnessing that last romance scene.. usually I don't like bittersweet endings at all, the way the lasts scene was handled though, was just so emotional that I just can't hate it, Solas or his romance arc. But now that we know he's the Dread Wolf I can understand more why he left but.. what about our Lavellans? They don't know anything, I feel so torn about it from their point of view, Solas just looks like an ass who didn't explain a thing and just up and left his love. I'd really like some sort of an addon or a dlc, heck maybe even an expansion where we get all that explained, if not for ourselves (because I don't understand everything that happened, like what does the orb actually do and why the heck did he kill Flemeth/Mythal?) then for our Lavellans. I know mine won't ever stop looking for him. I had a little crazy thought though, is it possible for Solas to mimic the thing that Corypheus did with his dragon, like put a part of himself/his power inside her so that the gap between him being an an elven god and Lavellan being a mortal becomes smaller? I dunno, if you throw immortality in it too so they could live together, I'm all game  . But maybe that's just my mind going to crazy places, I blame you for that Solas! Hmph...

I have question for You. Besides end of Solas romance ( I spoiled myself on yt) anyone regret romancing him? Im asking becouse in my second playthrought I would want to try romance path for my non-canon Dalish Elf, and I have Cullen or Solas. Cullen is nice and I like him in my first pt, but also Solas is a great friend for my Celebrian and really grow on me. I like travel with him, and talk with him and he is always in my team. I also have a feelings that I can create stronger bond with character who travel with me by whole game, than with someone like Cullen who is always away from an action ( don't know if he ever will fight with me later in game, I only played 30 hrs and just  got Skyhold). Anyway I don't care about end of Solas romance while I'm into "not happy endings" things (my fav are Bishop and Thane so You get the point), I just want to know if it's good writed and interesting, with a lot of content? ( didn't find too much on yt about Solas)

they freaking better! QAQ my headcanon for my Lavellan is that she's completley heart broken, spending all her time in the fade trying to find him, or even a trace of him. Even asking Varric to try and find some leads on him to no avail. I need closure. //sobs
I need her to be able to have the chance to go with him wherever he is going. She would give everything up for him and has... After all she learned from him, she can't get herself to go back to her clan... Let alone be the keeper for it someday.

Are they starting work on DLC now or still doing patches for the main game? Thinking of starting a feedback and suggestions thread for them to see it and have some other people hopefully agree! Not sure what to title it to avoid spoilers but still convey the threads purpose! D:

Also, @RGC, no I don't regret it at all. Sure, it's the best one in my opinion, if short on scenes. He's just perfect and sweet and intense, ugh! Making me adore him to the point it's weird not romancing him. eme

I absolutely loved it and don't regret having him as my first playthrough's romance. I think it was both well-written and interesting; I'm not sure how much content it has compared to other romances, but I was satisfied with what was there. YMMV, of course. It's difficult to say what you'll think of it without knowing you or your preferences, though being into "not happy endings" may make it a decent choice for you.

 

Also, I know everyone has questions about Solas being mysterious and such, but I think we all know the most important question about Solas: Did he choose that hat for the ball on his own? I may or may not be really tempted to actually ask someone. I am legitimately curious.

Really, even if he takes off to pursue his own ~mysterious~ agenda, you can never really be apart from your lover when they're a DREAM-WALKING ANCIENT ELVEN GOD lmao. You know he ain't quitting that Somniari **** cold turkey.

I absolutely don't regret romancing Solas. In fact, by comparison his plot arc makes all the others seem rather boring by comparison. I am sure we'll eventually get some sort of resolution. I've got no problem waiting!

This is by far the most dangerous secret of the romance. My Inquisitor can accept everything else but the origins of this foul hat. I believe Weekes owes us an answer.

Has anyone done their specialization.? I've looked up the locations in the exalted plains where the tombs are. There is no where on the map that indicates where they are. I'm just wandering around the areas and not finding them. Currently in Halin'sulahn.

 i just came back from the temple of mythal and we had a beautiful scene together and he removed my vallaslin and then he cut it off and said we can't be together anymore. will i get answers to this by the end of the game? is there another scene? can someone help ;; i've heard rumors and saw the tarot card from ign's video back when it was released so i know he might be That Thing/Person but is there another scene or something to this?????

Lavellan isn't the Herald of Andraste she's the elven Andraste! I think BW is building up to a big game changer with the elves (I really hope so because I'm not sure how much more of this stomping them in the dirt I can take) and the Inquisitor is going to be a part of that. Being Solas' LI will add an extra dimension to that storyline and you'll be given a similar choice to the Morriganmancers in Witch Hunt. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. 

 

The Solas romance might have a little less content and leave Lavellan not only heartbroken but in the dark as to why but it adds to the story. That said I admit I'm one of those who never minded that Alistair dumped the Warden and only a Cousland could become queen, it made sense in the narrative so I accepted it even though it hurt.

You can tell him that "We aren't done!" when you speak to him after the scene. You can also get party banter with him and Cole, which involves Cole speaking about Solas' inner feelings and that the Inquisitor blames herself. It's up on Youtube, if you want to see it. But I guess that's pretty much it - but I haven't played this far myself, so I can't promise you that 100%.

His tarot card should have already changed, but there's more than one card it can change to. I think the red and black one is if you have a negative relationship with him, so you should have the other one.

 

You didn't miss anything, don't worry! But yes, it is effectively the end of the relationship and he won't say anything more to your Inquisitor about it, even if you ask him to please explain. As for the game revealing things, the post-credits scene I mentioned will hopefully help a little.

The other day, I had a team of Blackwall, Solas and Sera. Sera brings up the relationship to Solas. Saying something about how we're bumping elven bits together and a prompt came up. It was either "(laughs)" or "Cut that out!" I chose the laugh one and it was more of a condescencing laugh like and Quiz said "You're ridiculous" and it made Sera stammer a bit and Solas says, "Now, who's looking childish?"

Before I get caught up in the game again and forget, here is my Lavellan. I was pleasantly surprised with how she ended up. Scars, broken nose and all. Pictures under spoiler cut so they don't overwhelm the page.

She's getting along reasonably well with everyone but Cassandra, which is funny since I was thinking she and Cassandra would be friends. Turns out she likes Blackwall better as far as warriors go. He seems to know what he is about; Cassandra is just too caught up in things she can't change, at least to my Lavellan's mind.

 

On my part I have really liked Sera and Vivienne so far, and Iron Bull has been a blast. Even if we did discuss cauterized nipples. It was still worth it.
