Okay, wait wait wait... you're talking about the cards presented at start of game when selecting a class and race.

 

I was referring to the codex entry card for your clan. Which is definitely a stag. I don't remember what the rogue elf card was at beginning of game... awesomely hilarious/ironic that it seems it was a wolf?

I'm referring to the codex entry card for Lavellan herself. It's number 30/38 in the character section and is called "Lavellan, of the Dalish". I can't remember what card she was at the start of the game.

Yeah, what I mean is I think the others were referencing the cards at the start of the game (based on the screenshots they posted), whereas you and I were referring to the stag on the "Lavellan" codex entry card.

 

And that's when the confusion ensued.

This is the formation of the Inquisition. Inquisition symbol and all that.

This is the events of Redcliffe. Two versions of the castle in the distance, one red and black (the Cory wins future). The figure is the Magister. Snakes=Tevinter and all that. The one to the right of that one is Cory looming over the burning of Haven in the mountains.

Halamshiral. Assassin lurks in the window of the palace. Blue figure is clearly Celene.

Events at Adamant. Clearly see Warden symbol. Fortress in the distance.

Temple of Mythal. Figure dressed like Abelas.

Final battle. A wolf, a sword and the foot of a giant beast (the dragon?)

I always thought the final battle one was two dragons; I've seen a few people mention a wolf, but nothing looks like a wolf there to me. :S The figure on the left looks to have a scaled chest and wings barely visible; the one on the right just looks like a smaller, more slender dragon. But I could just be missing something.

I think they appear bit by bit after each main story quest is done. Section by section, starting to the right of the door that leads up the tower to Dorian and Leliana (although of course the events before Skyhold are all there when you get to Skyhold). I took screenshots of them all, here they are for reference, I wonder if you agree with my interpretations. Spoilers below obviously. I demarcated it in yellow lines.

I always thought the final battle one was two dragons; I've seen a few people mention a wolf, but nothing looks like a wolf there to me. :S The figure on the left looks to have a scaled chest and wings barely visible; the one on the right just looks like a smaller, more slender dragon. I'm gonna throw another possible interpretation in the mix, which may be entirely wrong...

The figure on the right... I can see what Solas and Prince see, but my initial thought was that it looked like a dragon with wing pointing up and a sword through its neck. The figure on the left looks like some sort of weird dragon/wolf hybrid... like, it has scales on the belly but a wolfish face and on the head could be ears or horns.

 

Bear in mind I haven't gotten to endgame yet to actually see how the post-credit scene goes down, but do you think that could be representative of Solas planning to take down Flemeth (she's a dragon shapeshifter, after all) and absorb her/Mythal's power... making him sort of like a wolf/dragon-combined powerful being?

Interesting. In the legend of Fen'Heral, he tricked the other gods by promising each side a blade that would end all the wars between them. If that foot is a dragon foot, is he giving the blade to Mythal?

I did wonder if the creature on the left is a wolf and the "foot" is the foot of Flemeth and he's putting a sword through it - signalling his intent to kill her. Idk if I squint it looks kind of like the funky plated armor she wears on her feet/legs.

 

And I just went to read the note. "Skyhold is her fortress now. These are her actions."

 

OH SOLAS

 

I'm about to start a new playthrough, completionist this time, though I wish they'd hurry and fix some of the major bugs - Hawke voice change bug, dialogue bug.. those are almost gamebreaking for me.

 

I will romance Solas again. I don't think I can stay away from him on elven chars. It's almost a blessing that he is gated.

they could have just said nothing about his age. i wonder if he actually has hair, but just shaves it all off. Imagine Solas with a full head of locks, that would look extremely weird xD

CENIC, here's how my Lavellan reacted to that choice:

No, she doesn’t him. I believe that he’s telling the truth (and what an epic mindblowing revelation it was! Wow! Yeahhh that was awesome) but she doesn’t want to. She angrily tells him that it’s bullshit and that he’s a smartass, lmao. And even if he is speaking the truth, they are inescapably a part of her just like her battlescars are - from the events that led to her getting them. And they have meaning to Dalish culture now. They identify her as Dalish, they identify which god she honors most, they identify her as an adult. Gryff is a proud Dalish, even with everything Solas challenges her about them on (they argued a lot over that stuff) and although she looks to and respects the past (elven history) she is inescapably a creature of the present. She’s stubborn like that. In addition, the Dalish have been mistaken about what they mean - and she wears her mistakes proudly, doesn’t hide them. In a way they’re as much a mistake as her battlescars are - didn’t duck quick enough here, shouldn’t have engaged this enemy there, etc. She’s not interested in a quick easy fix and embraces her imperfections. In the final battle Cory told her, look at you, proudly wearing the marks of a slave! Hell yes she wears them proudly Corypheus, she’s Gryff and she’s going to make you choke on those words. I’m certain on the keeping vallaslin choice.

The more I think about it... the more I think my Inquisitor will initially respond with shock, anger and hurt, but will let him remove the vallaslin in the end. She's completely bought into the idealistic fantasy of ancient elves being perfect and aspires to be more like them. She'll probably have stars in her eyes when she meets the Sentinels at the Temple of Mythal.
On that note, I'm also pleased to know you can have a romance with Solas even if you argue with him about the Dalish - because I know for SURE my Inquisitor will be angry whenever Solas suggests the ancient elves weren't perfect! In all the romance scenes I've watched on YouTube with Solas, he talks as though Lavellan is really wise and insightful, so I wonder if defending the Dalish leads to different dialogue with him?

For the DLC, maybe since Solas has the power of Mythal, that is how either Morrigan or the Inquisitor find him? Because they are connected or something. Like how with Witch Hunt with Morrigans ring, even though you couldn't actually do anything with it.

wer she gets. I don't think she is lying when she talks about protecting the past and all that stuff. She likes to think she is strongwilled but she still gives in most of the time. She could give into the male wardens love, could give into the thought of letting him come through the elluvian, give into her son(she formed her motherly bond), etc.

Oh, it's absolutely a blessing. There's no way I could resist him if he wasn't race-gated. I would literally never be able to romance the other characters, which I want to do... just.. Solas, y u so perf?

the figure on the left looks like a dragon to me. And a sword piercing Solas' wolf amulet, meaning the orb was destroyed and hence his power which necessitated Mythal to die (again) and give him her power so that he can do whatever he needs to do for the People. My interpretation.

He still talked about my Dalish like she was super wise and insightful and a super unique spirit etc (in the default parts at least, obviously he responds different if you're like **** you Solas you're wrong about the people in a branching tree) - despite the arguing/disagreement I guess you can still romance him if you get enough approval. And as we know approval can be grinded from the collect ten blahblahs quests and with Solas, asking questions.
