How are you guys pronouncing his name? So-lahs, Sol-us, So-less, So-liss? It occurred to me that I've been saying "So-liss" but I'm not certain that's proper pronunciation & is probably a Mordin thing I need to shake.
(the 'as' is not always pronounced with the hard A)

I hope so... I'm really hoping they release one for him. Also, GaymerX is coming up in a little over a week. I'm crossing my fingers that since he's been officially revealed now they'll either talk about him or show him in playthrough demos or something.
Edit: Fingers double crossed that they also reveal the bisexual LIs there, or soon after. And that he's one of them!

I've had the feeling that Solas will be a bi option (with IB being the other), so here's hoping! Though beyond LI status I really, really want to know his VA, and they generally don't do a highlight video for them unless they're famous outside of voice acting. What are the odds his is a celebrity?

i wonder that myself. the only VA videos we've seen or that have been confirmed (Greg Ellis who voices Cullen has said his should be out at some point) are either that of popular returning characters, or the one voiced by a celebrity. As awesome as it would be for them do one for all the characters, I'd be okay with them at least letting us hear some banter in the play demos so we have some idea what they sound like.

I say So-lahs for Solas and Souluhs for Mordin

I don't think I could find the video if I looked but it was a dev talking about how they would totally wear Solas's long johns because they look comfy

Edit: btw if Solas' name is pronounced like that then he could have an Irish/Scottish accent from how I'm reading it.

Honestly, the lighting and angle or whatever in that picture looks more like he's got a lump in his stomach. Or maybe he picked a kitten up and shoved it down his pants to keep it safe while casting spells at whatever bad thing appeared. At least someone is thinking of the kittens.
That would not be a happy kitten and I would pity Solas' fleshy parts.

I'm playing an elf in a homebrew DnD campain at the moment where there's much discussion in the church on wether elves have souls! *random fact of the day*
I think whatever the pronounciation is, as soon as the VAs say it often enough in the game I think it'll be fine and we probably won't remember whatever we used to say after a few hours of playing!

Funny, because as an Aussie (or of any Brit accent) you'd say it the way they pronounced it, anywhoo... so this is all very amusing to me.
I believe the video where his name is pronounced Soul-liss is the Pax East video. It's over an hour long though... so have fun watching through to find it.
