Oh my word. What in the...just what. DAMN YOU, BIOWARE.
 
Solas was everything I'd hoped he be and more. And yes, as I said I would I was heavy handed with recording all my Quizzies scenes with him, so I will be bringing all the gifs. Probably instead of sleeping tonight, because who can sleep after that!? (It's also taking a lifetime to get it from my PS4 onto my USB stick)
 
I feel like I missed quite a bit in my first playthrough, and I was going to do a tonne of sidequests before going into that final mission. But then I decided to call it quits because I missed out on Dorian's personal quest and it seems there was no workaround so late in the game. So second time lucky!
 
Also, hey Bioware, a girl could get issues...

So, once again I get dumped in a Dragon Age game? Every single one! EVERY SINGLE ONE!
That scene was so lovely and then, lol nope. Dumped. I was freaking out so bad when Solas left and it cut to the credits. I thought they were going to leave me wondering where he'd gone. Now I kinda wish that they had. My poor heart. I suspected he had something to do with the ancient elves, that maybe he had something to do with the Dread Wolf, especially after talking about the Dread Wolf statue in Mythal's temple. But to actually be him? And to do that to Flemeth!? Oh my.

He was so lovely to romance though. And just, oh man. So amazing. I ran with him, Cole (who I made more spirit like) and Cass (who I thought I'd hate and ended up being my BFF ). We had good times together. Good times.

What bloody reviewer said that this game felt like the end? Like wrapping it all up? For Hawke maybe, but that ending just screams WHAT NOW. I want more than anything for those two to be together again, why must I always be drawn to doomed romances...

 

I'm going to go walk around in the dark, feeling emotions.

 

....Oh, and also. Did anyone else find it hard to trigger banter? Seemed kinda rare for me. Although Cole and Cass has some lovely ones Cole and Solas had some sad and utterly confusing ones...

Oswin there is currently a banter trigger bug in some peoples' games, some people get the banter they should be getting - triggering it often - some people get barely any at all. It's frustrating for those of us who have the bug but the devs have said they are looking for a fix. there's a thread about it in feedback you can report stuff to!

At least with the coda scene we almost have a guarantee he'll show up. Also that this is not the "end" (that reviewer is not thinking properly). I guess now though that both the Warden and the Champion could be dead...that's a bit grim. Hope I never have to make the decision to kill off Quizzie :-\

 

The lack of banter is a bug that's been gaining some attention lately. Bioware team is definitely looking into it and trying to fix it.

Those were pretty much my exact response after I finished the game too. It was about 3:30AM and I had totally neglected a big presentation I had the next day, but I made myself stay up to get to the end hoping for closure... Boy was I wrong.

 

And I too, wandered around in my dark apartment half crying half wanting to punch something really hard. So if it's true that misery loves company, welcome, my friend

I haven't beaten the game yet, but I've heard that he does something alone those lines. Anyway, I ask because I had my Inquisitor drink from the Well of Sorrows (I couldn't let Morrigan be a slave to Mythal when she has the Warden and her son to return to), and by this point in the game, Solas has a deep respect for my Inquisitor and considers him a true friend. If the second spoiler tag up there is the case, then would it be possible for him to relinquish Mythal's control over the Inquisitor in a realistic fashion? I know that it doesn't actually happen in the game proper, but given the way Solas and the Inquisitor talk to each other, it seems like something that could conceivably happen.

 

Since there's no post-campaign story continuity yet, I've headcanon'ed that, since Solas and my Inquisitor are good friends, and my Inquisitor is in a romance with Cassandra, that Solas,

I've headcanoned that Lavellan is now bound to the will of her pajama wearing (ex*)lover. 

And that Varric is going to spend a great deal of time working that through his head when they eventually inevitably find out. Lets face it, as soon as Solas sets foot somewhere even remotely close to a populated area Leliana's scouts are going to catch wind of him.

 

I've also headcanoned that Lavellan can sew. Someone has to patch up the burn marks in his clothing. I can see it now. She'd get sick of patching up his pants after the dozenth wayward spell and put a bright pink heartshaped patch on the rear end of his pants to make him think twice about letting his clothing go aflame.

I love those - they're absolutely beautiful! I've heard they can change based on one's decisions in-game but I haven't seen any photo evidence so I'm not sure.

yup but is confusing. Paraphrasing is "How do you like my gift of nothing?" which I think is the demon referring to his silence, not telling Solas friends what he knows about Solas

It occurred for me after I got into Skyhold and had spoken to Solas after the Haven conversation. It is the conversation in which you receive his personal quest, if it is helpful?
