Yea the one shaped like that, when he's walking up the hill.
He might have something to say about it!

I think he sleeps in his armor. You know, these ruins, rocks and debris...
The fact most of this armor is a union suit and a vest.
The only issue I have with Solas - is his line "You’re all close-minded, you should be making friends with spirits." After the whole Justice stuff I'm rather cautious of persons, embracing this point of view. Then there's Merrill's line with "All spirits are dangerous." Sigh idk, feeling itchy about it.
Hi thank you! I have some things to share with the thread I just need to get them typed up.
Is this the jawbone piece?
Yeah I tweeted Patrick the question about the necklace and haven't gotten a reply yet....I have the worst of luck of getting tweeted back I must put off some sort of bad vibe when I tweet.
@Solas long quote had to copy and paste. Sorry!-I hope we see Solas doing his sleeping thing if we take him to an ancient place where the Veil is thin!- Both DA:O and DA2 have Fade sections; will def be taking Solas along for the undoubted Fade sections we'll have in DA3My response:-I would love to see this. It might give for new ways to interact with the Fade.-I'm taking him along too. Maybe the fade will look different with him coming with us?
Sorry for the long post! just had to get it out. I definitely think we'll have different interactions/options available to do with the Fade in some places if we decide to bring Solas with us.
Thanks for doing that Roxy.

I think it would be boring if he was perfect. Maybe he has blinkers on to do with the Fade and is a bit /too/ open-minded. that was another thing i wanted to discuss. so far we've heard and talked a lot about solas's good points (brave, clever, open-minded, selfless, etc). but the best characters are flawed ones and marysues arent biowares stock in trade. what do you think some of solas's flaws or more negative traits could be?
:: pulls up document :: yes i have a document
I've written that he might be a bit socially rusty/awkward/oblivious in some ways through sheer lack of practise of being around people for extended periods. I've also wondered if he may sometimes be a touch obsessive about his work/research. the stereotypical tropes for that type of character are being blinded by your lust for knowledge and delving into unethical research in your quest (truth at all costs). tho i dont think solas would take it /that/ far. he might be obstinate when it comes to certain perspectives. tho he might not be disdainful of people who couldn't keep up with him intellectually,he may be disdainful of people who simply don't /care/. the last note I had was again about the potential impacts of mostly being alone: sometimes impatient with people/grumpy.
other questions:
- does solas ever get lonely?
- he obviously does a good job of avoiding being tempted since he's an accomplished/experienced fadewalker, but what kind of offers from a demon would tempt solas?

It's fine. Just wanted to say why I could not quoute you.
By different interactions maybe we'll have different areas or maybe not have the area in a depressing tone and be filled with more spirits than demons. Now that I think about it I may take Cole with me as well to see how he would react.

I hope taking Cole into the Fade doesn't upset him/lead to sad/upsetting/scary things like it did for him in Asunder >o<. but yes i would guess a voyage into the fade with solas and cole in tow would be v interesting

That reminds me. What would happen if we took Iron bull with us too? Would it be one of those quests he does not want to be a part of or do you think Cole and Solas will help him get over his fear of demonic posession?
I have even higher expectations for him now after realizing that Solas is written by Mordin's writer ![]()

I'm really excited that Weekes is writing him too! Though on the other hand.. I'm a little leery because I know I'm going to get gut punched emotionally. ![]()

other questions:

I would love it if he didn't understand how lonely he was until he met the Inquisitor (romance ofc)
Or like the friendships he possibly gets makes him realize it as well . . . Like the romance one better though xD
EDIT: I saw someone earlier post something about Weekes probably would not be writing three romances Solas, Bull and Scribbles. Do we know that Weekes wrote Scribbles ?? I'm confused

I wanna romance him!
It HAVE TO be four male romances. Coz if its not, then Solas is out...
What other character did Weeks write?
Just as reference for how Solas might be.

Inquisitor: How is it you're safe in the fade?
Solas: Simple, my friend.
...Everyone else is looking at it wrong.

Vivienne: Make him stop! MAKE HIM STOP!
Dorian: The humanity! THE HUMANITY!
Cole: ...I like it
But wouldn't it be a bit much if Weekes wrote Scribbles as well?
3 companions already seems like a lot, especially since some writers have only 1 character so far
But Gaider wrote Asunder? Shouldnt he write Cole?

The mass effect characters I remember him writing were Mordin, Jack and someone else. Kind of tired to remember. But he is a really good writer ^^
edit: he wrote Tali and Kasumi as well ^^
Edit again xD: This is the first time he's written for Dragon Age if my memory serves me right. ![]()
