I too would like to know what Solas says when the Inquisitor is down, when he himself is injured, gets KO'd, etc. Would be interesting.

Actually in 2013 while they were writing they mentioned a scene a male writer wrote and all the women said it felt "rapish" and made the writer change it. I wonder if it is this one

given that Solas is not honest about his identity, I'm 99% sure the "rapey" scene was about Iron Bull. There's a bit of manhandling and BDSM stuff in his romance and if it wasn't made clear in development, I can imagine people going "umm no" to certain scenes.

I've always been unsure on this, but I guess it depends when they actually did the writing for Solas' romance. Considering him and Cullen weren't to be added in game at all as romances until after the year extension, I'm honestly not too sure it was him. Just a thought, though! I doubt we'll ever truly know.

I think the problem here is that some of the writers might have felt any explicit scene would have felt... Forced to some people. Rape-ish to some others. Not only is Solas lying about who he is, he's also deceiving Lavellan into believing the relationship will work even though he most likely knows deep down that it will not end well. Which I can't really blame them for if that was their thought process, if you just hear the particulars as opposed to experiencing the entire romance it could have come off as if he only wanted to get into her pants and then leave her high and dry. We all know that isn't the case, but people have made worse logical leaps before. So I don't blame them for only hinting at an intimate scene.
 
What I'm still a little miffed by is that they didn't have more non-intimate scenes, or were they worried they'd tip their hand too early if they did? I don't know, but I wish he had at least one or two more. ):

Okay, so I already was in the area northeast of the Crossroads and he did prompt me to look for an elven artifact, but it was one of those glowy ward balls and not his amulet. Drat.

 

That sounds like the right quest, Measuring the Veil right? I don't know of a specific quest for an amulet atleast, but you can get a usable amulet for him at the end of that quest.

I don't think it is that. You will notice that Solas is the only LI that doesn't have the "kiss me" button, right ? (I heard all other LI have it). 

 

I think his and Lavellan love is a lot more "spiritual". He does call her beautiful but must of what raises reputation with him is wisdom and kindness.

And to him a fade kiss is "easier" than a real kiss, which may mean he doesn't really see a big difference between the Thedas kissing and the fade kissing.  So their entire relationship is not that physical is a lot more emotional and spiritual (although he does kiss the hell out of his Vhenan....).  

 

For that reason I didn't feel that cheated for not seeing a "wolf moon"  but I sure would have enjoyed it

By the way, did anyone else get constantly attacked by packs of wolves/hyenas?  I kept Solas in my party the whole time, and no matter where we were, either the black wolves with the glowing eyes would tag us, or hyenas or some other canine.

 

Did they ever explain that, I mean besides in the Hinterlands where he says that he's sure that the wolves are glad that they are free of the demon?  Do you think it's a side effect of the aspect of the wolf being in the world?

I don't think there's any symbolism there. They won't attack if you're far enough away and/or they're chasing something else (i.e. a halla). Just think it would be weird if there were a bunch of wolves that you ran into that did not attack you.

I can't find the dialogue again but I remember translating it as Solas telling her to let to of her pain, and that he was taking the amulet.

I get the impression that the ancient elves were immortal in the same way that Flemmeth/Mythal is immortal, they just transferred their consciousness to other vessels.

Judging from what the Well does the Elven Pantheon might have perpetuated the idea that they were gods in order to have a steady supply of willing vessels.

From the sound of it, the Elves and the Forgotten Ones (Old Gods?) were fighting a war against each other which sounds like it would be quite deadly for mortals. Fen'Harrel put an end to it, but at the cost of spending the rest of his days alone.

Judging from Cole's banter and Sandal's prophecy the Maker is coming back. And if the ancient elves were scared of him, he's not the benevolent God the Chantry depicts him as.

Shame Frostbite is apparently such a pain to mod... I don't want to pay for a single mount as that just opens the flood gates for EA to start throwing micro transactions in again and though I wouldn't be adverse at all to it being part of the coming DLC I'd much prefer a modder tried a crack at it for faster results.

In a very poetic way he (or Lavellan, if you choose the elf option) can tell her to hand over the amulet and get over it, lol. Something like "find another path for this pain." Lavellan adds something like "must I face opposition from my own people? I could use what you found."

Maybe you're not meant to get that encounter every time you enter that ruin. Pity.

Ma halani, ma glandival, vir enansal.  I believe that is what he says...as noted above, it sounds like a poetic phrase

 

"Ma" means "my, mine" according to the wiki. "Enansal" means blessing.  I'm not certain what the rest means, unfortunately...I would like to know about glandival, as Shartan's DAII sword is Glandivalis.
