Sooooo. I uploaded the video before they come to skyhold. Really amazing soundtrack and Solas scenes in it.

I just have the feeling that it is a little shaky, and even on 1080 the resolution is not that good (in my opinion)

btw... I tried to make the marks in Lathallins face as invisible as possible....but now....knowing about the last romance scene -.- it may be a bad choice *sighs* Also I am not THAT happy with my inquisitor. The hair became so damn light and yellow in the game -.- but the color in the first place was more yellow orange and I thought I better choose the brighter color. Oh well....and lets not talk about the face XD The mouth became kind of bigger....but this face was MUCH better than the first try

She was a wonder to behold, blades whirling and flashing in the sun, reflecting the glimmer of Solas’s magical attacks against their foes. Her movements flowed into one another like water, and her body was supple as a willow branch. The speed at which she moved was intoxicating to him, and there were times he thought he might be at risk of losing focus during battle for the distraction.

At night around the campfire, its light glowing off the curve of her throat and glittering in her eyes, Solas could almost swear that a spirit of beauty had come through the Veil and taken solid form. His heart ached with longing, and with doubt, none of which he could appropriately express to her.

When they kissed, and he held her close, the warmth of her spirit battered against the walls inside him, threatening to break him of his resolve. If he wanted, she could be his, but then he would also be hers. It was a diversion that neither of them could afford.

He still visits her while she dreams. The mark upon her hand makes her different: though not a mage, she still perceives much during her nightly visits to the Fade. He cannot come too near or risk discovery, but he sees how she dreams. The Breach is sealed, but the monster still lurks in her nightmares. His mistake.

The worst is when he sees himself. This is his punishment, forcing himself to watch her heart break over and over each time she dreams of him leaving.

Can I just say how delighted I am that there were so many people playing hot potato with Solas before release only to find that he is now an insanely popular romance?

Does German Solas have a Welsh accent? I assume that can happen generally, but don't know how hard it would be to find a German-fluent-Welsh-Native...

Because I'm not taking him on all my adventuring, I'm doing quite well at not being completely obsessed with Solas in my Sassquisitor playthrough. Although I haven't gotten to that glorious walk to Skyhold scene yet. Playing on hard mode so I'm running around trying to level up as much as possible before I go into the last Haven mission. I'm becoming rather fond of my human noble though. I unintentionally made him the dorkiest looking man, ever. He always has this stupid smile on his face. Quite the opposite to my elf who was always looked like she was going to cry. With those big sad eyes. It made it all the more potent when she got crushed.

 

Ah, made another Solas gif for you all. This one may come in handy for some of the whiny hateful threads that crop up here (spoilered for size)

Hm...actually it has no english accent. Also no german dialect or anything. (But I am no seeker of the german dialects, so I am pretty happy about it) Just a regular german. I don't know how strong the welsh dialect is in english. I guess I wouldn't really recognize the difference between british english with and without welsh accent I would have to live for some time there, then I might be able to hear it. For me it is just english But I think they picked a nice voice actor comparing it to the english version.

Has anyone tried to romance someone else as a female elf ? I am starting a Cullen playthrough but I just.. unghhhhh .. Only way I'm managing not to run to Solas' skinny muscled arms is by simply avoid talking to him. I just can't take him friendzoning my Lavellan.. It sounds soo cold!

 

BTW, you can break up with him right after the "fade tongue" first kiss and Solas will STILL tell you he can't forget that kiss and start the romance again. I had to reload after that and now I refuse to talk with him again because I just can't say no to Solas kisses!!! Oh Cullen fogive my Lavellan, she just can't help it,

 

So you can break up with Solas after the Fade kiss and then romance Cullen successfully?  Or will Cullen just assume you're still with Solas even after you break it off?

That's why I hate the german voice, he always talks way too fast and loud
They kind of ruin his character with it, he doesn't seem wise and mature at all talking like that

I didn't give her an elf nose, but I tried making mine look elf-y by giving her high cheekbones, putting the eyes high, and giving her a stubborn chin.

May I ask if you are german?

I talked to some germans who were...quite unfriendly when it came to german voice acting. It would be no problem for me to play the game in english, but those people tended to tell me what a stupid person I must be to use the german versions. (Must add, I study german and international linguistics and love languages, especially english )

 

You can download english for free, right?

Btw. talking about those "free" options. I got special weapons with the game. Fire weapon thingies, but where do I actually get them in game?

 

I used the "younger" voice for my character because I felt like a...pretty old lady with the other one.

I was trying to make Cari look at least a bit "elfy" by giving her the bigger eyes and a kind of prominent nose, though you can't tell from most angles. I'm not sure if I succeeded!

Which is so weird because I feel like it's exactly the type of thing a lot of the companions  would comment on - especially Vivienne and Varric though for completely different reasons.
