I thought the Solas thread would get a kick out of this screenie ![]()

He is such a softie.. And then crushes my Lavellan's heart. Bastard!
DAO - 1 year
DA2 - 10 years
DAI - ???
Just come up with another question, how long do you think it takes quizzy to go through the whole main quests in game? Like I've heard from someone that the story in DAO happens in around one year.

Not sure if this has any relevance, but during In Hushed Whispers, didn't Corypheus manage to conquer Southern Thedas in just one year after Alexius made the Inquisitor disappear?

I would say any where from 6 months to a year.
I think it's about 6 months, maybe? Josie says something in her romance about it only being a couple of months.

He would have gotten away with godhood if it weren't for that meddling inquisitor!
I originally planned my first playthrough to be a human male rogue, but by the time I was done with the prologue I had a feeling that the story would be better if done with a female Dalish elf (mage in this case) that romanced Solas.
After restarting numerous times to get her appearance right (it still isn't) I finally beat the game tonight, and to my delight (questionable word choice I know) I was correct.
I also suppose that Solas surpassed whatever heartbreaking ability Alistair has/had.
Curse you Patrick Weekes and your writing talents!!!
I just had the vallaslin scene.. I need a blanket, huggles, and some kind of drink.
Spoiler
*hustles out with the prescribed cocoa, blankets, and offers the fuzzy puppy sitting next to computer chair for cuddles*
I don't really get why people freak out so much because of the sex scenes anyway...
If it's there and it's well done sure, I'll take it
But I don't need it, the Vallaslin scene is much better imo
The entire last scene is absolutely fantastic
My opinion exactly. I actually like that both Josie and Solas didn't get a sex-scene. It's a nice acknowledgement of asexuality, but leaves enough room for people to make their own interpretations. If you want to, you can see it as two people in a relationship without sexual intimacy. But you can also see it as a relationship with that intimacy. Just because they don't explicitly show it doesn't mean it couldn't have happened. As long as Bioware doesn't outright say the one or the other is canon (which I highly doubt they would, because what's the point of that?) you can happily have your own interpretation of the relationship.
So.. now I'm doing a second playthrough where I try to find everything there is to find, I may be taking screenshots of everything Solas and here's what I found in the pile of pictures...
Andaran a'tishan, fellow Lavellans. Long-time lurker here; de-lurking, just for Solas. (I'm also terribly new to writing in forums and the like; apologies in advance.)
I got about half-way through the main story before I accidentally read some spoilers about Solas. Terrible, I know, but I kept going with it, hoping I'd be emotionally ready for what would happen. I just finished What Pride Had Wrought and the Vallaslin cutscene. I wasn't ready, you guys. I haven't slept since then (several hours ago), but thankfully I found this lovely thread. You are all so supportive and have such wonderful things to say. Just wanted to say, keep up the good work. I haven't finished the game though, so when I'm not playing that, I'll be here.

Welcome to the thread! *give you, your mandatory care kit* ![]()
Yes, I was wondering exactly the same things. Why is there no comment at all if Solas is in your party?Okay, so wait. About what was said at the end of the credits:
Spoiler
Or maybe I'll find these answers when I browse around spoilers and stuff tomorrow. My mind is rambling off on its own and I haven't been able to get it to come back yet.
And I´m back! Although nobody probably remembers me
Finished my first playthrough and Solas turned out to be everything I wanted him to be, such a well written character and romance arc, just wished for more scenes. I have a feeling that final scene is setting up an expansion or a dlc, surely they wouldn´t have us waiting another 3-4 years? ![]()

*deep breath*
well, i'm back. that was.. a trip.
i did that one scene (you know the one) five or so times before i decided on an outcome. still not sure it was the right one. Solas was a better character than i could have dreamed (though PW's charas are some of my favorites so i really shouldn't be surprised).
oof. incoherent post. i'm still processing (and it's 4am, so i should be asleep)
Welcome back!I certainly hope there'll be a dlc or expansion,I love the inquisition and it's character's too much to let them go so easily!
And I honestly can't wait for 4 years to learn whatsoever going on with Solas.
Haha thanks! Yeah same, I do think that they might deal with it in a final dlc or expansion to set up the next game that might deal with this in earnest
