I don't think it's everything, but mistakes were made nevertheless. We also know that the Dalish address their own limitations on their knowledge; they freely acknowledge they have little idea about who the Forgotten Ones are, or why they were in a war with the Creators, and Merrill even admits that no one in her clan knows which side in the battle at Sundermount summoned and bound Audacity to the totem (which implies that they don't have such a rosy notion of the Arlathan elves to consider it out of the realm of possibility that their ancestors could have summoned the spirit).

Even giving Keeper Hawen's clan the scroll from "The Knight's Tomb" leads to them acknowledging their mistake, since they learn humans and elves were responsible for the inception of the war between the Dales and Orlais, and make a point of acknowledging their mistake and wanting to send an olive branch to the town of Red Crossing that holds tremendous significance for the Dalish.

 

 

It was never a choice for me, since my Lavellan was a friend to Solas and not a romantic partner (to no one's surprise, given my avatar) but I would have kept them as well if the option was presented. What it meant during Arlathan doesn't connect to why the Dalish appropriated them: a symbol of defiance against losing their heritage and religion to human rule, after the loss of the Dales to Orlais and the Chantry.

 

 

Everyone has their own preference, I suppose.

Speaking of becoming Mythal's Chosen, I really wonder about the significance of drinking from the well of sorrows as a Dalish Inquisitor; having access to that kind of knowledge could unlock untold secrets for the Dalish.

Haven't done it as anything but an elf yet, but Solas is not happy.  My Dalish put elves first, mages, second, and humans after dwarves and qunari, so she drank, o course.  Solas was not happy. Your elf can argue to Morrigan that it's more her heritage as an elf than Morrigan's, and that's all I know.

So you guys got the romance achievement after Solas breaks up with you, right?  I never got an achievement at all and I'm wondering why D:  Is this a bug or did I do something wrong????

 

Also, we totally needed more interactions between Solas and Lavellan after the second make-out session.  I wanted her taking him to meet her clan and him taking her to different parts of the Fade :3

No, that's how it works.  I'm hoping that's a good sign for future DLC, since she can't commit to another relationship.

 

And I agree- Solas needed more content (even non-romance related).  Most of the other companions/advisers had tons of cutscenes.

If I chose to stay friends with Solas after the first kiss, then completed his personal quest, then got the scene on the balcony - shouldn't we kiss up here? He didn't though...he just walked away. Will he try to rekindle the romance later? I hope I didn't cut him off for good :S

Thought that was a little odd, too. 

 

Maybe a future game or DLC they can find happiness, like Morrigan and the warden...all wardens, even the female ones who stabbed her...

 

And then in DA4 there could be an encounter with a female elf called "the Dread Wolf's General" or "Bride of the Dread Wolf."  You know, after the inquisitor goes missing, too.

But if you take it as a narrative choice, it shows how their intimate moments were probbly spent listening to Solas tell Fade stories. That their connection is spiritual.

He tries to Morrigan you and run away and hide from his feelings.  Go talk to him, he should have an option for "talk about us," and he starts quoting Anders with "It's better this way."  I worried, too, that I blow it, but you shouldn't worry if you didn't hit the blue heartbreak button.

My mistake, I miread your post.  Yes, you're supposed to get an achievement with Solas after the break-up scene.  It must be a bug, then.

No you should have gotten it. In fact, it locks you in the romance after he breaks up and you cant go romance someone else even. 

 

So you can turn away from him before the big scene but once your heart is broken, youre 'branded' and the achivement should pop up.

Are you on an XB1? There's no romance achievement on the system version for some reason (at least not on mine).

 

 

Ugh don't listen to me it's totally there. Apparently I was too wrapped up in the scene to notice unlocking it.

However, Revas Lavellan said to Morrigan that the well was his heritage, but I get the feeling that (outside of the scope of the game) having access to all this knowledge should allow the elven Inquisitor to benefit the People with his newfound connection to information about the ancient past, once the Inquisitor gains mastery over this power. This seems to be hinted at when Lavellan goes to one of the Altars of Mythal to summon the dragon, since he seems to 'know' what the altar was used for.

 

Based on the final scene with Solas, I hope it's possible to help him.

Only Sera knows about it and Sera's a nosy parker who hoards secrets. Vivienne suspects, but doesn't know for sure. If Cass asks about the Vallaslin thing, then Solas bluntly says it's private and he doesn't want to talk about it.

 

Plus, his room is kinda...exposed. Anyone in the rookery can just look down and see what he's doing.

I think that since he will play a big plot role in Dlc, they might have had less romance content in the main game considering where the romance and all the opportunities for more romance and heartbreak can go in Dlc. Just Solas is a character who's story doesn't wrap up in the main game like the others. So, there's plenty more room for sex, love, kisses and utter heartbreak when it wraps up.

Doesn't the bartender know too? And Cole? I don't think Sera would be particularly adept at keeping her mouth shut...the other LI's know because they all mention it if you try to flirt with them. I'm sure Leliana knows everything that goes on in the Keep...

 

But otherwise he is pretty private. All the romance scenes take place elsewhere.

Huh.  I guess it must be a bug...  I play on PC.  I never flirted with anyone else or chose the broken heart option :/  I hope this bug can be fixed.  Any ideas???
