ugh the more I watch that scene, the less I know who went into who. Either way, it's definitely Solas's body that sticking around, and he's definitely still in there. It'll just be a matter of who's in charge. 

 

Bleh. I just want my Solas back.

Hehe, That's why I've decided to avoid female elf at all costs until a DLC/expansion featuring him comes around. I'll just haunt the fanfiction for now.

I think the worse thing that can happen is that he becomes a different being and forgets his feelings for Lavellan.

I don't think he was evil. He wanted to restore the People (Hence his line of "The People need me")  And just waking up, I'm not sure he was thinking straight.

And sadly, Flemeth needed a willing host.  I'm also doubtful it'll really be Solas.

I didn't mean it as "Solas is evil" I meant that we don't really know exactly what happened at the ending cutscene or how it will impact him. I felt that the dark glowy eyes were a bad sign enough and who knows what happens when one god absorbs/posses another one? Maybe Flemeth will still live on inside of him like a split personality or something? Maybe they switch between who is in control? Maybe he loses his memories and feelings for Lavellan like Eivuwan suggested. There are a lot of possibilities where we lose the Solas that we get to know through the game and the thought of that makes me worry.

I don't think Flemeth takes over people. I think she passes on her knowledge, but also her goals with it. Yavana calls Morrigan foolish and says what Flemeth offers is a gift. I think when the host form reaches the end of its life, it passes the sum of its experience on. Since Morrigan denied it, Solas took it, but Solas is still in charge. He just knows what Flemeth knew and now feels a strong desire to avenge Mythal.

I hope this doesn't turn out like Anders and Justice... I would hate that, I can't go through it again and we've already seen it.

I want Solas to be Solas, not just because my Lavellan romanced him, but because I genuinely think he's one of the most intriguing, if not THE most intriguing character in DA.

...I'm officialy worried now.

I noticed earlier that the dark smokey eye stuff looks like what Cole does when he heals people... I played through Coles intro in my second playthrough and it caught my attention because of the final scene.

The whole 'is he evil' deal might just not be the right way to look at it. Were Zeus or Odin evil ?

 

There are legends about them coming on earth in human form and having relationships with mortals. That was probably be quite nice, and theres no reason to think they werent 'into it' for real. Then they go back to the sky to throw lightening and fight with other gods.

 

The more i think of it the more I feel like what Lavellan had is very mythical experience, but seen through its most human focal point. Its so engrossing, yet so tragic.

that watched the last romance scene on youtube so often that it is possible to pinpoint the exact moment in which Solas' heart breaks because of him realizing what will come next? That switch from longing in his eyes to sadness and dread (haha) is accomplished by a very minor change in the way he furrows his brows. Damn is it subtle.

I also watched the break up scene...he looks so confused by her first words. He nods his head forward, attempting to read her, to know what is going on. Well Solas, I'm glad to know that you will dump her but still react like a lost puppy if she dumps you first. Perhaps it is the fact that the Inquisitor breaks it off because that love was never there or had gone away. We know that he still loves her in the end, though. Ughhh the feelsuh!

He shows up a few weeks later all, "actually I decided it's better not to do the crazy stuff I was doing," tells her all about himself, then they go live a nice quiet life in the Hinterlands raising druffalo.  A girl can dream, right?

I'd take that over nothing. But honestly, I'd like to see something more unique- something that doesn't quite resemble the Witch Hunt dlc. Weekes wrote some amazing stuff...I'm betting we will get an expansion longer like Awakening, but this time with the ability to see a resolution to his mission...and the romance.
